Aims: Bidirectional detrimental relationships between COVID-19 infection and diabetes have been described globally. However, new-onset diabetes in adults and its follow-up during the pandemic have not been sufficiently investigated. In this study, new-onset autoimmune and type 2 diabetes cases during the pandemic were compared to those before the pandemic, and the clinical course of new-onset diabetes during the pandemic was examined.

Introduction: This study aims to assess Ga-Trivehexin PET/CT for detecting hyperfunctioning parathyroid tissue in comparison to [Tc]Tc-MIBI scintigraphy-SPECT/CT (MIBI scan) in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT).
Methods: The cohort comprised 13 patients diagnosed with PHPT based on biochemical analyses, including serum calcium, phosphorus, and parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels. Each participant underwent cervical ultrasonography, MIBI scan, and Ga-Trivehexin PET/CT imaging.
The role of severity and duration of inflammatory findings on the development of persistent hypothyroidism and anemia has not been clarified in subacute thyroiditis (SAT). Demographic data and laboratory parameters of patients with SAT were analyzed retrospectively. Permanent hypothyroidism was observed in 28.

Methods: Sarcopenia was assessed by using the sequential four-step algorithm. (1) Find: Sarcopenia risk by simple clinical symptom index (strength, assistance walking, rise from a chair, climb stairs, and falls [SARC-F questionnaire]).
Background: The primary treatment for patients with acromegaly has traditionally been transsphenoidal surgery, with decreasing reliance on radiotherapy (RT) due to advancements in pharmacotherapy (PT). Despite these advancements, a substantial portion of patients still face persistent acromegaly, necessitating novel treatment approaches. This study investigates the role of CyberKnife Stereotactic Hypofractionated Radiotherapy (CK-HFRT) in persistent acromegaly.

Material Methods: Demographic and clinical features, biochemical findings, diagnostic procedures, treatment modalities, and outcomes of nine patients who had the diagnosis of TIO were reviewed retrospectively.
Results: Mean age of the study group (F/M: 4/5) was 45.
Context: The aims of the study are to compare characteristics of subacute thyroiditis (SAT) related to different etiologies, and to identify predictors of recurrence of SAT and incident hypothyroidism.
Methods: This nationwide, multicenter, retrospective cohort study included 53 endocrinology centers in Turkey. The study participants were divided into either COVID-19-related SAT (Cov-SAT), SARS-CoV-2 vaccine-related SAT (Vac-SAT), or control SAT (Cont-SAT) groups.
In this paper, we present the case of a 68-year-old male with personal medical history of coagulopathy issues, who presented to our Emergency Room (Emergency County Hospital, Arad, Romania) with bleeding of the superior tract of the digestive system; the case was difficult to manage, thus warranting the intervention of the Department of Gastroenterology. Endoscopy was performed to localize the site of bleeding and to stop the hemorrhage. This procedure was not successful.

Acromegaly patients (n: 143) were evaluated retrospectively. Patients with elevated IGF-I levels after surgery and/or SRLs therapy and a fixed dose of SRLs treatment for the last six months with no history of radiotherapy in the last three years were included in the study (n: 12).

Previous studies demonstrated similar alterations observed in cases when pre-probiotics are used without surgery. The aim of this trial was to evaluate the effectiveness of early use of pre-probiotics after RYGB.

The underlying mechanisms in the formation or progression of crescent formation need further investigations. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate the role of mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), which might be a potential therapeutic target, in kidney biopsies of patients with pauci-immune glomerulonephritis.

Materials And Methods: 19 healthy controls and 35 patients with DM without typical GERD symptoms were enrolled in the study.
Unlabelled: The aim of the the study is to compare the effects of cholecalciferol and calcitriol on bone mineral metabolism in women with vitamin D deficiency. Calcitriol was associated with a significant increase in bone mineral density at the lumbar spine in patients with low vitamin D levels.
Purpose/introduction: Active vitamin D analogs may have larger impact in decreasing bone loss and fracture rate compared to cholecalciferol in osteoporosis.

Perovskite and textured silicon solar cells were integrated into a tandem solar cell through a stacking method. To consider the effective structure of silicon solar cells for perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells, the optic and photovoltaic properties of textured and flat silicon surfaces were compared using mechanical-stacking-tandem of two- and four-terminal structures by perovskite layers on crystal silicon wafers. The reflectance of the texture silicon surface in the range of 750-1050 nm could be reduced more than that of the flat silicon surface (from 2.

In this study, we aimed to investigate the prevalence of differentiated thyroid cancer in a cohort of patients followed with the diagnosis of SAT. Patients and methods We retrospectively screened medical records of Endocrinology and Metabolism outpatient clinic in the past 20 years for patients with SAT.

Purpose: High GH and IGF I levels increase tubular phosphate reabsorption in patients with acromegaly. We aimed to investigate the utility of serum phosphorus levels as an indicator for predicting chance of remission in acromegaly patients.
Design: Fifty-one patients (n: 51; F: 24, M: 27) with diagnosis of acromegaly were included in the study.

Paget's disease is a disorder of aging bone which occurs in the setting of accelarated bone remodelling. In the presented case we discuss the difficulties in the diagnosis of Paget's disease in a 77 year old patient with coexisting endometrium carcinoma. The patient was initially diagnosed with metastatic bone disease due to endometrium adenocarcinoma when she was admitted to oncology clinic with pelvic pain.
