Purpose: This study aimed to compare the return to sports, return to competition, Tegner score and anterior cruciate ligament-return to sports injury (ACL-RSI) scores between patients who underwent ACL reconstruction (ACLR) combined with anterolateral ligament reconstruction (ALLR) and those who underwent ACLR alone.
Methods: Two independent reviewers conducted a literature search in PubMed (MEDLINE), EMBASE, Google Scholar and the Cochrane Library in July 2024, followed by data extraction and quality assessment. This study followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and meta-analysis guidelines.
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most known neurodegenerative disease, and its prevalence is predicted to increase significantly. Discovering novel drugs and treatments for AD is urgently needed. Drugs from natural products have been preferred lately due to their high potential and low toxicity.

Vaccines for dengue are an important strategy to reduce the disease burden. We expressed capsid (C2) and envelope domain III of dengue virus serotype 2 (2EDIII) separately in the silkworm expression system.

To develop new protein-protein interaction (PPI) modulators, we synthesized structurally simplified actin-binding side-chain dimers of antitumor macrolide aplyronine A. By fixing the two side-chains closer than those of rhizopodin, the C4 linker analog depolymerized filamentous actin more potently than natural aplyronines.

Here we demonstrate that long alkyl amine ligands can generate near-phase-pure 2D perovskites at the top and bottom 3D perovskite interfaces and effectively resolve these issues. At the rear-contact side, we find that the alkyl amine ligand strengthens the interactions with the substrate through acid-base reactions with the phosphonic acid group from the organic hole-transporting self-assembled monolayer molecule, thus regulating the 2D perovskite formation.

Unlabelled: Dolastatin 16, a marine cyclic depsipeptide, was initially isolated from the sea hare by Pettit et al. Due to the lack of information regarding its bioactivity, target identification becomes an indispensable strategy for revealing the potential targets and mechanisms of action of Dolastatin 16. Network pharmacology was utilized to identify targets associated with the disease, gene ontology, and KEGG pathways.

The causes of IDD involve multiple processes, including genetics, stress, cellular aging, and changes in nutrition due to the limited blood supply. Animal models play a crucial role in biomedical research and the selection of these models is based on many considerations, including the need for similarities in structure and function with humans.

Objectives: This study aims to explore the response of Schwann-like cells derived from adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (SLCs) and Schwann cells rat sciatic nerve-derived stem cells (SCs) with their secretomes under normoxic and hypoxic conditions .
Material And Methods: SLCs and SCs were isolated from the adipose tissue and the sciatic nerve of the adult white male rat strain Wistar.
Unlabelled: High tibial osteotomy is a reliable procedure for the correction of knee varus deformity. An opening-wedge high tibial osteotomy (OW-HTO) is the most popular technique. The results of the bone defect after opening the wedge needed special treatment to ensure bone healing.

Recent studies reported significant increases in the cultured cells' proliferation in the presence of a low oxygen pressure.

COVID-19 has caused the deaths of 6,541,936 people worldwide as of September 27th, 2022. SARS-CoV-2 severity is determined by a cytokine storm condition, in which the innate immune system creates an unregulated and excessive production of pro-inflammatory such IL-1, IL-6, NF Kappa B, and TNF alpha signaling molecules known as cytokines.

Among stressors such as light, heat, voltage bias, and moisture, the latter is arguably the most critical, as it can decompose metal-halide perovskite (MHP) photoactive absorbers instantly through its hygroscopic components (organic cations and metal halides). In addition, most charge transport layers (CTLs) commonly employed in PSCs also degrade in the presence of water.

Higher education students on the island of Kalimantan are considered vulnerable to these disasters, hence the need for mandatory disaster knowledge and preparedness for every individual in the area. This research aimed to: (1) determine disaster knowledge and student preparedness in dealing with forest and land fire disasters, (2) determine the relationship between knowledge and student preparedness.

The key issue is that a pharmacological neuroprotective-neuroregenerative agent and SCI regeneration mechanism have not been found. The secretomes of stem cell are an emerging neurotrophic agent, but the effect of human neural stem cells (HNSCs) secretome on SCI is still unclear.

Methods: A cartilage defect was made in the trochlear groove of the knee of adult New Zealand white rabbits, and was classified into three treatment groups. The group 1 was cartilage defect without treatment, 2 with microfracture treatment, and 3 with microfracture covered with a synovium-platelet rich fibrin (S-PRF) membrane.
Study Design: Experimental animal study.
Purpose: This study aims to investigate the effects of treatment with human neural stem cell (HNSC) secretomes on subacute spinal cord injury (SCI) post-laminectomy by analyzing interleukin-10 (IL-10), matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP9), transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β), and Basso-Beattie-Bresnahan (BBB) score locomotors as expressions of neurological recovery.
Overview Of Literature: In the United States, SCI has a recovery rate of 0.
Background: Globally, spinal cord injury (SCI) results in a big burden, including 90% suffering permanent disability, and 60%-69% experiencing neuropathic pain. The main causes are oxidative stress, inflammation, and degeneration. The efficacy of the stem cell secretome is promising, but the role of human neural stem cell (HNSC)-secretome in neuropathic pain is unclear.

We report mRNA-1273 boosting in heavily SARS-CoV-2-exposed Indonesian health-care workers who received a two-dose CoronaVac 6 months prior. Between August and November 2021, we measured SARS-CoV-2 spike-specific IgG binding antibody (Bab) titers in all 304 participants, and neutralizing antibody titers in a random subset of 71 participants, on stored paired serum samples taken before and 28 days after a full-dose (100-μg) mRNA-1273 booster.

This structure undergoes a process of degeneration like the rest of the body and this process is known as intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) which is the most common cause of low back pain (LBP). The current common management, either conservative or surgical, is pain-relieving and has not been able to restore degenerated disc optimally.

The caseinolytic protease (Clp) system plays an essential role in the protein homeostasis of the malaria parasite, particularly at the stage of apicoplast development. The inhibition of this protein is known to have a lethal effect on the parasite and is therefore considered an interesting avenue for antimalaria drugs discovery. The catalytic activity of the Clp system is modulated by its proteolytic subunit (ClpP), which belongs to the serine protease family member and is therefore extensively studied for further inhibitors development.
