[Features of intestinal infections in elderly patients.].

The article compares the flow of intestinal infections in elderly and young people. Analyzed the medical records of 172 persons 60-85 years and 82 history persons 20-40 years with salmonellosis, shigellosis and rotavirus gastroenteritis. It is revealed that bacterial intestinal infections, salmonellosis and shigellosis, those over 60 years of age have the clinical differences and flow is heavier than in patients 20-40 years.

[Epidemiology of Ixodes tick-borne borreliosis in the north of the Volga-Viatka region].

Among the territories of the Volga-Vyatka Region of Russia, the Kirov Region is characterized by the highest incidence of Ixodes tick-borne borreliosis. Its incidence rates ranged from 10.5 to 48.

[Epidemiology of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome in the north Volga-Viatka region].

The results of the ecological and epidemiological study of hemorrhagic fever with the renal syndrome (HFRS) in the Kirov region for the period of 1987-2000 are presented. HFRS morbidity rate varied from 1.3 to 13.

[Epidemiology of leptospirosis in the Kirov region].

The dynamics of leptospirosis morbidity in the Kirov region for many years is presented. The wide spread of leptospirosis foci, both natural and formed as the result of human activities, in the region is shown. The main role in infecting humans with leptospires belonged to the latter foci in a number of districts in the region was established.
