In current clinical practice, a thorough understanding of vitamin D metabolism is in high demand both for patients with various diseases and for healthy individuals. Analytical techniques that provide simultaneous measurement of multiple metabolites are preferred. Herein, the development of an HPLC-DMS-MS/MS method for the quantitation of vitamin D compounds (25(OH)D, 25(OH)D, 1,25(OH)D, 3-epi-25(OH)D, 24,25(OH)D, and D) in serum is described.

The growing interest in heat-conducting nanofluids requires highly sensitive methods for analyzing the thermal properties. Thermal lens spectrometry (TLS), despite its advantages over classical methods, does not have a general approach for measuring and interpreting results for dispersed systems. In this paper, for nanofluids of silicon oxide in water in a wide range of concentrations and sizes, the selection of measurement parameters for transient and steady-state thermal lensing is justified, and the interpretation of the results of thermal diffusivity measurements is substantiated.

Only a few studies evaluating the metabolism of vitamin D in patients with hypoparathyroidism (HypoPT) have been performed thus far, and, in particular, they mainly investigated the process of vitamin D activation (specifically, 1α-hydroxylation). This study, therefore, aimed to evaluate the extended spectrum of vitamin D metabolites in patients with HypoPT compared to healthy individuals. The methodology and results of thermal conductivity measurements by the heat-flow technique for the detonation nanodiamond suspension gels, sols, and powders of several brands in the range of nanoparticle concentrations of 2-100% / are discussed. A green, scalable, and sustainable approach to prepare aqueous fullerene dispersions (AFD) C, C, endohedral metallofullerene Gd@C, and their derivatives CCl, CCl, and supramolecular and ester-like derivatives, 10 fullerene species total, is proposed. For the first time, an immersed ultrasonic probe was used to preparing dispersions for pristine fullerenes without addends. Both ultrasound-assisted solvent-exchange and direct sonication techniques for AFD preparation using an immersed probe were tested.

The multispectral modality and technique for optically dense samples of optoacoustic spectroscopy were applied to measure spectra and high absorbances of concentrated aqueous dispersions of undoped nanodiamonds. The data from optoacoustic and optical transmission measurements and DSC data of the mean particle size by the Gibbs-Kelvin equation are compared to estimate the difference in composition of various nanodiamond trademarks. Optoacoustic spectra confirm the contribution of surface dimer chains into the absorption of nanodiamonds in the long wavelength range.
