Loss-of-function mutations in the bone morphogenetic protein receptor 2 (BMPR2) gene are common in heritable or idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), and can result in functional impairment of both endothelial and vascular smooth muscle cells. Here, we report 3 PAH patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) lines from 3 unrelated patients harbouring different mutations in the BMPR2 gene: a heterozygous missense mutation in exon 12, a heterozygous frame shift deletion in exon 3, and a heterozygous missense mutation in exon 11. These cell lines will serve as a valuable resource to model PAH in vitro.

Objective: To compare 'cytokines' and 'bone turnover markers' in pre- and post-menopausal women and identify their relationship with bone mineral density (BMD) in both groups. Study Design: A cross-sectional study.
Place And Duration Of Study: Department of Biological & Biomedical Sciences, The Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan, from June 2017 to August 2019.
A series of new derivatives of 4-(2-chloroethyl)morpholine hydrochloride (5) were efficiently synthesized. Briefly, different aromatic organic acids (1a-f) were refluxed to acquire respective esters (2a-f) using conc. HSO as catalyst.

It has been proposed that this may be driven by a direct diabetogenic effect of the virus that is unique to SARS-CoV-2, but evidence to support this is limited. To explore this, we compared insulin requirements in patients with severe COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 viral pneumonitis.

Higher u11-dh-TxB and L-FABP levels were associated with longer hospitalization, more thrombotic events, and greater mortality, providing evidence for potential utility as early prognostic biomarkers for COVID-19.

To make the equations physically realistic, zero mass transfer boundary conditions have been used. The Brownian motion and thermophoresis effects are incorporated in the nanofluid model.

Breast cancer can be known by using tumor marker, which has been used is mucin-like glycoprotein Carcinoma Antigen (CA 15-3) which is a tumor marker that is specific to breast cancer.
Method: This study is a cross-sectional study to determine the association between molecular subtypes of locally advanced breast cancer with CA 15-3 level at Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Samarinda Hospital.
The behavior of an Oldroyd-B nanoliquid film sprayed on a stretching cylinder is investigated. The system also contains gyrotactic microorganisms with heat and mass transfer flow. Similarity transformations are used to make the governing equations non-dimensional ordinary differential equations and subsequently are solved through an efficient and powerful analytic technique namely homotopy analysis method (HAM).

In comparison, the production of T lymphocytes plays a role in suppressing the development of tumor cells. Honey as a complementary therapy is expected to reduce the overproduction of IL-6 and facilitate the production of T lymphocytes in breast cancer cases.

One of the treatments for breast cancer is mastectomy. The quickness of decision-making determines the survival rate of prognosis patients.

Furthermore it is considered a potential drug target for Parkinson's disease as it metabolizes the drug levodopa. Consequently inhibitors of the enzyme would increase levels of levodopa.

There is an increased demand for acid proteases adapting to the industrial extreme environment, especially lower pH. Thus, this necessitates the search for a better acid protease from fungi that best performs in industrial conditions.

We describe a 69-year-old dialysis-dependent patient who developed intractable ascites after zone 2 aortic reconstruction for a type IA thoracic endovascular aneurysm repair endoleak. Investigation as to the cause of ascites revealed a unique set of clinical circumstances leading to intractable bloody ascites. Investigation included imaging and invasive testing to diagnose the culprit mechanism.

Aim: We aimed to find the role of pH-adjusted potassium (pH ) in the development of hypokalemia, and their mutual impact on patient outcomes during DKA management.
Methodology: Adult DKA patient's admission data of preceding 3 years (2015-2017) were retrospectively clerked.
In this article, three data-driven approaches were explored, including two artificial intelligence (AI) based models namely; Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) and Hammerstein-Weiner (HW) models and a trivial linear model namely; multilinear regression (MLR). In this context, the models were developed using the onset of diarrhoea, the total number of wet faeces, total number of faeces, weight of intestinal content (g) and length of the small intestine (cm) as the independent variables. In contrast, distance travelled by charcoal meal (C) and volume of intestinal content (I) were considered as the dependent variables for the prediction of the intestinal hypermotility and secretory inhibitory effects of the methanol leaf extract of (MECH).

Methods: A randomized controlled trial, in which participants were randomly allocated into 2 groups, receiving injections of either hyaluronic acid or dextrose prolotherapy. The hyaluronic acid group received 5 injections, 1 each on weeks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, and the dextrose prolotherapy group received 3 injections, 1 each on weeks 1, 5 and 9.
In the present study, a synergistic effect between cationic methylene blue (MB) and anionic acid red 1 (AR1) on their concurrent adsorptive removal from aqueous binary solution onto durian rind (DR) was systematically investigated in batch mode across different parameters. The concurrent adsorption was pseudo-second-order kinetics and followed the Langmuir isotherm model, similar to their respective single component. The kinetics and intraparticle diffusion analyses demonstrated that the adsorption rate of MB was a 15-fold faster than AR1, and mass transports were governed by a combination of intraparticle and film diffusion.
