Autoimmune Thyroid Disease in Psoriasis Patients: A Case-Control Study.

Introduction: Psoriasis is a common immunologically mediated inflammatory disease characterized by skin inflammation, epidermal hyperplasia, an increased risk of painful and destructive arthritis, cardiovascular morbidity, and psychosocial challenges. Some autoimmune diseases are mediated by stimulating or blocking auto-antibodies. Auto-antibodies may act as antagonists and bind to hormone receptors, blocking receptor function.

Familial Facial disfigurement in Multiple Familial Trichoepithelioma.

Trichoepithelioma is an uncommon, benign hamartomatous tumor of the pilosebaceous follicle. Presenting as multiple papules and nodules on face and neck, they pose a significant cosmetic problem in affected individuals. Familial involvement of this dermatosis occurs in an autosomal dominant pattern, the locus being located on chromosome 9p21, which causes multiple facial lesions in family members and their kins.

Myiasis in female external genitalia.

Myiasis is derived from the Greek word-"Myia", meaning "fly". The term was first introduced by Hope in 1840 and refers to the infestation of human beings with dipterous larvae (maggots). Presence of maggots on exposed parts is already known, but on covered parts like external genitalia it is very rare.
