Post-RNA (mRNA) Vaccination Myocarditis: CMR Features.

RNA (mRNA) vaccines used to prevent COVID-19 infection may cause myocarditis. We describe a case of acute myocarditis in a 27-year-old male after receiving the second dose of a Pfizer immunization. Three days after receiving the second dose of vaccine, he had acute chest pain.

Post COVID-19 vaccination neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder: Case report & MRI findings.

There are rising concerns among the medical community and the public regarding the side effects of different vaccines developed throughout the world and their short and long-term effects, particularly COVID19 vaccines. Most notably, post-vaccination demyelinating diseases such as acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, transverse myelitis, and multiple sclerosis relapses have been reported. We present a case of a 32-year-old male who presented with a 2 weeks history of acute confusional state and imbalance 1 week after receiving the second dose of COVID19 vaccination.

Early Diagnosis of Lung Cancer in the United Arab Emirates: Challenges and Strategic Recommendations.

In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), lung cancer (LC) was the third leading cause of deaths due to cancer in 2017. Around 80% of the patients in the UAE are diagnosed at a late stage, rendering the treatment less effective in improving survival outcomes. Lack of awareness of disease symptomatology, deficient screening initiatives, misdiagnosis, and delayed referral to the specialist are contributing factors for delayed diagnosis.

Intrahepatic gallbladder mimicking a cystic liver lesion: A case report & literature review.

Intrahepatic gallbladder is a rare congenital variant that occurs due to migration arrest of the gallbladder from reaching its normal position. We present a case of a 60year-old gentleman presenting with chronic abdominal pain and impaired liver enzymes. Abdominal ultrasonography showed a hepatic cystic lesion which later was identified as an ectopic gallbladder within the liver parenchyma through magnetic resonance imaging study of the liver.

Acute pancreatitis as a late complication of intra-gastric balloon insertion.

Intra-gastric balloon (IGB) insertion is a safe, well-tolerated and an effective weight loss procedure. It is commonly used as a step prior to bariatric surgery in obese patients with co-morbidities and failed conservative weight-loss methods. The main side effects post-IGB placement include nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.

Pure testicular choriocarcinoma is an extremely rare subtype of nonseminomatous germ cell tumor, accounting for less than 1% of all germ cell tumors and only 0.19% of all testicular tumors. It is a highly aggressive malignant tumor with early multiorgan metastasis and poor prognosis.

Leiomyosarcoma: a rare presentation as multifocal lesion.

Leiomyosarcoma is a rare type of connective tissue cancer, accounting for 5-10% of all soft tissue sarcomas. We present a case of leiomyosarcoma as unusual multifocal presentation. Retroperitoneal, mediastinal, pulmonary, uterine and bony regions were all involved at the time of presentation.

Acute myelitis as a neurological complication of Covid-19: A case report and MRI findings.

During the recent outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, there is rising concerns about neurological complications of COVID-19. Fever, headache, and anosmia may occur early during the disease course. Other neurological sequalae such as encephalitis may occur in later phases.

Solitary bone plasmacytoma: the unusual case of extra-cranial mini brain.

Solitary plasmacytoma is an uncommon tumor. We present a case in an unusually young patient demonstrating the mini brain sign that has been published in a couple of reports as a diagnostic radiological pattern produced by plasmacytoma. Identification of "mini brain appearance" on imaging can direct the radiologist and clinicians to the diagnosis of plasmacytoma and obviate the necessity of pre-operative biopsy.

Ruptured Berry Aneurysm as the initial presentation of Polycystic Kidney Disease: A case report and review of literature.

Intra-cranial saccular aneurysms, also known as Berry aneurysms, have a well-known association with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). Aneurysmal rupture can be the initial presentation of the disease. ADPKD has two types of gene mutations: PKD1 and PKD2.

Pulmonary venous varix associated with mitral regurgitation mimicking a mediastinal mass: A case report and review of the literature.

Pulmonary vein varix is an unusual cause of a mediastinal mass on a chest radiograph. It may be found as an isolated malformation or as a sequela of pulmonary venous hypertension. We encountered a case presenting with left hemiparesis and a past medical history of rheumatic heart disease.

Tuberculous spondylitis presenting as severe chest pain.

This case report describes a 32-year-old male who presented to an emergency department with severe chest pain and a history of cough, fever, night sweats, loss of appetite and weight. Chest radiography revealed a left upper lobe consolidation and multiple compression deformities in the thoracic spine. Magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated significant kyphosis and vertebral plana at two thoracic levels.

Multiple occult wrist bone injuries and joint effusions: prevalence and distribution on MRI.

This study aims (1) to assess the prevalence and distribution of multiple occult injuries of the carpal bones and the distal forearm in patients with wrist pain and negative radiographs following trauma and (2) to evaluate the distribution and significance of joint effusions in the wrists with multiple osseous injuries. One hundred and thirty-one subjects, 74 men and 57 women, were consecutively examined in two institutions. All were acute trauma patients with negative X-rays whose clinical examination suggested possible fracture at the wrist or the distal forearm.

Magnetic resonance imaging of the triangular fibrocartilage complex lesions: a comprehensive clinicoradiologic approach and review of the literature.

Objective: This article illustrates the frequent lesions of the triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) by means of magnetic resonance imaging.

Methods: We performed a retrospective chart review of the magnetic resonance images of 109 patients from our database. All subjects had history of trauma, and all underwent both radiographic and magnetic resonance imaging examination of the wrist.
