Implementing an Early Detection Program for Autism Spectrum Disorders in the Polish Primary Healthcare Setting-Possible Obstacles and Experiences from Online ASD Screening.

A screening questionnaire for autism symptoms is not yet available in Poland, and there are no recommendations regarding screening for developmental disorders in Polish primary healthcare. The aim of this study was to assess the opinions of parents and physicians on the legitimacy and necessity of screening for autism spectrum disorders, potential barriers to the implementation of the screening program, and the evaluation and presentation of the process of online ASD screening, which was part of the validation program for the Polish version of one of the screening tools. This study involved 418 parents whose children were screened online and 95 primary care physicians who expressed their opinions in prepared surveys.

Dynamics of anti-SARS-CoV-2 seroconversion in individual patients and at the population level.

The immune response and specific antibody production in COVID-19 are among the key factors that determine both prognostics for individual patients and the global perspective for controlling the pandemics. So called "dark figure", that is, a part of population that has been infected but not registered by the health care system, make it difficult to estimate herd immunity and to predict pandemic trajectories. The impact of neuraminidase on apoptosis in cultures of blood lymphocytes isolated from rats bearing morris hepatoma.

Lymphocytes were obtained by heart-punction from rats bearing Morris hepatoma. In the short term, 18-hour cultures of these lymphocytes exhibited a significantly higher amount of apoptotic cells than lymphocyte cultures from the healthy, control animals. Neuraminidase, injected into the caudal vein of the rats with Morris hepatoma, caused a marked lowering in the amount of apoptotic blood-lymphocytes and an elevation of the amount of viable cells.

[Special medical care in the opinion of general practitioners].

We distributed a questionnaire among doctors participating in vocational training in Regional Family Doctors Educational Centre at Family Medicine Department in Wrocław Medical Academy and Family Medicine Department of Collegium Medicum in Jagiellonian University. It included questions concerning co-operation of general practitioners with specialist outpatient clinics and assessment of health service reform. The doctors with the first degree of specialisation in internal medicine as well as in family medicine and those training for specialisation filled in the questionnaires.
