This study explores the influence of green entrepreneurial activity on sustainable development, using institutional economics as a theoretical framework. Also, the role of entrepreneurship policy is analysed in the context of Saudi Arabia. Using information from the General Authority for Statistics from 13 Saudi Arabian cities, the main findings show that green entrepreneurship positively contributes to the economic, social, and environmental components of sustainable development during the period 2012-2017.

Intestinal invagination or intussusception is the telescoping of a segment of the intestinal tract into an adjacent one. In most cases the invagination is ileocolic, consisting of the small intestine penetrating into the colon through the ileocaecal valve; in other cases it could be ileoileal or colocolic. It is a common entity in paediatric subjects, especially in the first two years of life (90-95% of cases), but is a rare condition in the adult where it accounts for only 5-10% of all intestinal invaginations and around 1% of all intestinal occlusions.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: When we began laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) we set up a strict preoperative workup in order to assess whether currently available investigations could help predict difficult laparoscopic procedures.
Methods: Reported here are the results of a prospective trial carried out in our first 200 consecutive patients, who underwent routine intravenous cholangiography (IVC), abdominal ultrasound scan (US), blood tests-namely, markers of biliary stasis (MBS)-and preoperative endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) in case of clinically suspected common bile duct stones (CBDS).
Results: On the basis of our experience we think that the US findings relate to the difficulty of the laparoscopic procedure more closely than the other preoperative investigations, and the association of US and liver chemistry provides an accurate evaluation of biliary stones.
