We measure the dynamical behavior of colloidal singlets and dumbbells on an inclined magnetic moiré pattern, subject to a precessing external homogeneous magnetic field. At low external field strength single colloidal particles and dumbbells move everywhere on the pattern: at stronger external field strengths colloidal singlets and dumbbells are localized in generic locations. Ion bombardment with 30 keV Ga ions can locally change the magnetic properties of perpendicular magnetic anisotropy ferrimagnetic Tb/Co based multilayers. The induced changes in the effective magnetization create high gradients of magnetic fields in the proximity of the perimeters of the bombarded areas. Superparamagnetic, micrometer-sized beads floating in an aqueous suspension over such a patterned structure respond to the ensuing magnetostatic energy landscape.

The poor solubility of clotrimazole in the aqueous medium and the uncontrolled removal of the drug-loaded suppository content limit its effectiveness in the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis. We present here the aqueous formulations of clotrimazole in the form of non-Newtonian structured fluids, , Bingham plastic or pseudoplastic fluids constructed of hyperbranched polyglycidol, HbPGL, with a hydrophobized core with aryl groups such as phenyl or biphenyl. The amphiphilic constructs were obtained by the modification of linear units containing monohydroxyl groups with benzoyl chloride, phenyl isocyanate, and biphenyl isocyanate, while the terminal 1,2-diol groups in the shell were protected during the modification step, followed by their deprotection.

The diversity of fungal strains is influenced by genetic and environmental factors, growth conditions and mycelium age, and the spectral features of fungal mycelia are associated with their biochemical, physiological, and structural traits. This study investigates whether intraspecific differences can be detected in two closely related entomopathogenic species, namely Cordyceps farinosa and Cordyceps fumosorosea, using ultraviolet A to shortwave infrared (UVA-SWIR) reflectance spectra.
