Importance: Adolescent and young adult (AYA) patients with advanced cancer often die in hospital settings. Data characterizing the degree to which this pattern of care is concordant with patient goals are sparse.
Objective: To evaluate the extent of concordance between the preferred and actual location of death among AYA patients with cancer.
Purpose: Clinical risk assessment models can identify patients with hereditary cancer susceptibility, but it is unknown how multigene cancer syndrome prediction models compare with syndrome-specific models in assessing risk for individual syndromes such as Lynch syndrome (LS). Our aim was to compare PREMMplus (a 19-gene cancer risk prediction model) with PREMM5 (a LS gene-specific model) for LS identification.
Methods: We analyzed data from two cohorts of patients undergoing germline testing from a commercial laboratory (n = 12,020) and genetics clinic (n = 6,232) with personal and/or family histories of LS-associated cancer.
Background: Muscle mass and strength are severely compromised in patients diagnosed with multiple myeloma, such that the risk of poor overall survival increases as the prevalence of low muscle mass, also known as sarcopenia, increases. Additionally, at the time of autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT), 51% of patients experience low muscle mass and strength, which can prolong hospitalization and lead to increased risk of obesity, insulin resistance, lowered physical function, and poor quality of life.
Objective: The PROTECT (Prehabilitation Exercise Training in Multiple Myeloma Patients Undergoing Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation) trial will examine the preliminary effects of digitally supervised prehabilitative aerobic and resistance exercise on muscle strength in patients with multiple myeloma scheduled for ASCT.
Importance: Little is known about the nature of change in goals of care (GOC) over time among adolescents and younger adult (AYA) patients aged 12 to 39 years with cancer near the end of life. Understanding how GOC evolve may guide clinicians in supporting AYA patients in making end-of-life decisions.
Objective: To assess frequency, timing, and evolution of documented GOC among AYA patients with cancer in the last 90 days of life.

We used human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells expressing fluorescent ubiquitination-based cell cycle indicators (FUCCI), and employed the mitotic harvesting method that is one of the cell cycle synchronization methods.
