Patients with ovarian cancer, especially the high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) subtype, face poor prognosis due to late diagnosis and treatment resistance. Owing to the high heterogeneity of HGSOC, identifying the origin of the disease and optimal treatments is difficult. Here, we characterized two primary immortalized human ovarian cell lines, human ovarian surface epithelium (HOSE)1C and HOSE2C, comparing their molecular profiling with representative HGSOC cells.

Here, we report a pipeline capable of producing high-throughput pharmacotranscriptomic profiling through live-cell barcoding using antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates. This pipeline combines drug screening with 96-plex single-cell RNA sequencing.

The burden of diagnosis and long-term treatment may frequently cause psychiatric disorders in patients, particularly depression. The most common PC treatment option is androgen deprivation therapy (ADT), which may be associated with taxane chemotherapy.

Our research group has been actively involved in the design of novel antimicrobial drugs. The blueprints of these compounds were azolic heterocycles, particularly thiazole.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective research was performed using data from foetuses that underwent FT anatomy scans (FTAS) with a gestational age between 11 weeks and 13 weeks and 6 days in the Prenatal Diagnostic Unit of the Clinical Emergency County Hospital Craiova from October 2022 until September 2023.
Results: The study included 648 FT singleton pregnancies and 5 OSB cases were detected.
Antimicrobial resistance is an increasing problem for global public health. One of the strategies to combat this issue is the synthesis of novel antimicrobials through rational drug design based on extensive structure-activity relationship studies. The thiazole nucleus is a prominent feature in the structure of many authorized antimicrobials, being clubbed with different heterocycles.

Among the biological activities of natural and synthetic flavones and aurones, their anticancer, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties are highlighted and detailed in this review. Starting from the structures of natural flavones acting on multiple anticancer targets (myricetin, genkwanin, and other structurally related compounds), new flavone analogs were recently designed and evaluated for their anticancer activity.

The extrusion mechanism is one of the most expensive parts of the 3D printer. Also, for low-scale 3D printers, based on the shape of the extruder and the geometry limitation of the mixing blade, the 3D mixture is often limited to a narrow range of materials due to the risk of layer splitting or blockage.

The aberrant expression of the non-canonical Wnt signaling receptor ROR1 is thought to contribute to OC progression and drug resistance. However, the key molecular events mediated by ROR1 that are involved in OC tumorigenesis are not fully understood.

We describe here a functional precision oncology (fPO) strategy in epithelial ovarian cancers (EOC), which involves high-throughput drug testing of patient-derived ovarian cancer cells (PDCs) with a library of 526 oncology drugs, combined with genomic and transcriptomic profiling. HGSOC, LGSOC and MUCOC PDCs had statistically different overall drug response profiles, with LGSOCs responding better to targeted inhibitors than HGSOCs.

With rare exceptions, heritage buildings were built with materials and systems that could bear gravitational loads but not bending and shearing resulting from seismic loading. Thus, in many cases, earthquake ground motions have led to severe degradation and even the collapse of various parts of these structural systems.

The purpose of this study was to: (1) examine changes over time in perinatal management, mortality, and major neonatal morbidities among infants born at 25-28 weeks' gestational age and cared for at one Romanian tertiary care unit and (2) compare the differences with available international data. : This study consisted of infants born at 25-28 weeks in one tertiary neonatal academic center in Romania during two 4-year periods (2007-2010 and 2015-2018).

This is due to the lack of clearly defined underlying mechanisms or an oncogenic addiction that can be targeted pharmacologically, unlike other types of cancer. Here, we identified protein tyrosine kinase 7 (PTK7) as a potential new therapeutic target in OC following a multiomics approach using genetic and pharmacological interventions.

The "NOt Alone at Home-NOAH" project aimed to involve older people in the Agile co-creation of services for a collaborative monitoring and awareness notification for remote caregivers. Our research aim was to create a scalable and modern information system that permitted a non-invasive monitorization of the users for keeping their caregivers up to date.

Therefore, the design process and especially the optimization phase becomes an important step. The geometry of the fabric of each lamina as well as their stacking sequence need to be carefully defined, starting from some basic geometric variables.

As a result, the development of a cellular thermal shift assay (CETSA) has become an important tool for determining the binding affinity of drugs to their intracellular targets. Cell lines, such as Ba/F3, are an excellent model system to stably express and study a target protein when this protein is not endogenously expressed or only present at low levels.

Despite their lack of catalytic activity, these receptors regulate skeletal, cardiorespiratory, and neurological development during embryonic and fetal stages. However, their overexpression in adult tissue is strongly connected to tumor development and metastasis, suggesting a strong pharmacological potential for these molecules.
