Objective: Among women, breast cancer (BC) is the most prevalent form of cancer. Many molecular targets have been discovered for BC prognosis and treatment. However, new markers still need to be identified, as cancer pathogenesis is triggered by different mechanisms.

Three-dimensional echocardiographic assessment of Chiari's network relationship with the left ventricular false tendon.

Background: Left ventricular false tendon (LVFT) is a fibromuscular band crossing the left ventricular cavity. And Chiari's network (CN) is a highly mobile, mesh-like, echogenic structure in right atrium. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the coexistence of LVFT in patients with CN.

Evaluation of In-patients with Iron Deficiency Anemia in terms of Etiology.

Objectives: In this study, we aimed to evaluate in-patients with iron deficiency anemia concerning etiology.

Methods: In our study, we retrospectively evaluated 150 in-patients (60 male and 90 female) with iron deficiency anemia in Sisli Etfal Hospital, Department of Internal Diseases between 2005 and 2010. Anemia was defined as Hb <12 g/dl for women and <13 g/dl for men and transferrin saturation ≤15%.

Relationship between a fragmented QRS and microalbuminuria in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Introduction: Microalbuminuria (MAU), a complication of diabetes, is closely related to cardiovascular events. A fragmented QRS (fQRS) in the electrocardiogram (ECG) was found to be strongly associated to cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.

Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the association between a fQRS and MAU in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
