Reno-pancreas protective effects of Spirulina platensis in alloxan induced diabetic rats.

A large variety of herbal elements are employed in the treatment of diabetes for their better efficacy and safety compare to synthetic drugs. In this experiment Spirulina platensis was used to evaluate the antidiabetic, kidney & pancreas injury protective potential in alloxan induced diabetic rats. Male Long Evans rats having six weeks of age were used for the experiment.
