The intramolecular electrophilic cyclization of alkynes with disulfides to form thieno[2,3-b]quinoxaline structures and to introduce thioether substituents afforded quinoxaline derivatives (7a-7d, 8a-8d). Among obtained eight derivatives, the raloxifene analogues (7c, 8b) showed specifically high cytotoxicity against breast cancer cells (SK-BR-3), and raloxifene analogues (8a) showed the highest cytotoxicity against human leukemia cells (HL-60). None of the raloxifene analogues (7a-7d, 8a-8d) showed cytotoxicity against human lung fibroblasts (WI-38), which are normal cells.

The distribution of activation inside a compact medical cyclotron was evaluated by measuring 1cm dose equivalent rates and γ-ray spectra. Analysis of the distribution of activation showed high activation at the deflector and the magnetic channel. Radionuclides Co, Co, Zn, and Mn were detected.

Workloads of radiological technologists under different conditions of heights of radiographic table and/or X-ray tube assembly were calculated using a software for preventing musculoskeletal complaint to investigate optimal working environment for general X-ray examinations. In the patient positioning, compressive force of lumbar disc decreased at higher radiographic table within the range of 45-90 cm. On the other hand, workload of the shoulder joint increased with increase in the height of radiographic table.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of prostate matching on dose distribution using kilovolt cone beam computed tomography (kV-CBCT) with image guided radiation therapy for prostate cancer.
Materials And Method: Sixteen prostate cancer patients were treated with intensity modulated radiation therapy to 76 Gy at 2 Gy per fraction in 38 fractions. Daily target localization was performed using "bone matching" and "prostate matching" based on planning CT and kV-CBCT.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of metal markers on dose distributions and dose evaluation indices in intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) plans for prostate cancer. The dose distribution calculation in the prostate IMRT was performed in a virtual phantom with and without insertion of the metal markers. The deviations of Dmax, Dmin, homogeneity index (HI), Dmean, D2, D98, and D95 of clinical target volume (CTV) and planning target volume (PTV) were obtained for estimation of the influence on the dose evaluation indices.

Using the PDI-based registration approach, simulated 4D "treatment" CT images were derived from the deformation of 3D planning CT images so that a 2D planning PDI could be similar to a 2D dynamic clinical PDI at a breathing phase. The planning PDI was calculated by applying a dose calculation algorithm (a pencil beam convolution algorithm) to the geometry of the planning CT image and a virtual water equivalent phantom.
