Young-onset diabetes (YOD) is characterised by unique diagnostic and management challenges more pronounced in resource-limited settings like Sri Lanka. We aimed to ascertain the prevalence, patterns and characteristics of YOD in Sri Lanka and describe the state of care. Case Presentation: Twenty-four - Year - old female presented with proximal myopathy was found to have hypercalcemia.
A 48-year-old patient with a history of diabetes mellitus, presented to a surgical ward with abdominal pain. She was found to have hypokalemia. Her younger sister had passed away due to sudden cardiac death at the age of 25 years.
