Unlabelled: Multidrug resistance is a paramount impediment to successful treatment of most hospital acquired bacterial infections. A plethora of bacterial genera exhibit differential levels of resistance to the existing antibiotics. Prevalent Uropathogenic Escherichia coli or UPEC conduce high mortality among them.

Such binding can change the stability of the three dimensional protein structure which sometimes may destabilize it to accelerate or to inhibit protein aggregation. Coumarin is a widely used fluorescent dye with several biological applications.

Methionine (Met) is believed to be one of the most readily oxidisable amino acid residues of protein. Bovine beta-lactoglobulin (β-lg), a model globular whey protein, has been presented as a subsequent paradigm for studies on protein aggregation and amyloid formation.

Different methods like QSAR and molecular docking have been developed to accurately design small binder molecules for target proteins. An alternative model has been developed wherein a statistical method is used to find the propensity of different non-covalent interactions between small molecules and amino acid residues of the protein.

It uses vertebrate hosts and presently deploys humans. Life cycle and pathogenicity of SARS-CoV-2 have already been deciphered and possible drug target trials are on the way.

However, a lack of proper knowledge about non-covalent interactions can act as a barrier towards gaining a complete understanding of the factors that control these associations. To find effective molecules for COVID-19 inhibition, we have quantitatively investigated 143 X-ray crystal structures of the SARS-CoV-2 M protein of coronavirus with covalently or non-covalently bound small molecules (SMs).

In the COVID-19 pandemic, NPs can be used or can help to find new compound against it. The SARS coronavirus-2 main protease (SARS CoV-2 M) enzyme, arbitrate viral replication and transcription, is target here.

Very little structural information about 2019-nCoV make this situation more difficult for drug designing. Benzylidenechromanones, naturally occurring oxygen heterocyclic compounds, having capability to inhibit various protein and receptors, have been designed here to block mutant variety of coronavirus main protease enzyme (SARC-CoV-2 M) isolated from 2019-nCoV with the assistance of molecular docking, bioinformatics and molecular electrostatic potential.

Here we report the preparation of SNPs of diameter 10 ± 3 nm by using silver nitrate and sodium borohydride and the interaction of synthesized SNPs with our model protein β-lactoglobulin (β-lg) in 10 mM phosphate buffer at pH 7.5 after thermal exposure at 75 °C.

Aim: To quantitate EPL along with its metabolite EPLT using LC-MS/MS, a bioanalytical method was developed and validated with tolbutamide in human plasma using a protein precipitation technique.
Many proteins form ordered irreversible aggregates called amyloid fibrils which are responsible for several neurodegenerative diseases. β-lactoglobulin (β-lg), an important globular milk protein, self-assembles to form amyloid-like fibrils on heating at low pH. The present study investigated the effects of two commonly used organic solvents acetonitrile (MeCN) and antimicrobial preservative benzyl alcohol (BA) on the conformation and self-assembly of β-lg at ambient condition.

The compound exhibited a potent anti-HSV-1 activity against both wild type and clinical isolates of HSV-1. Further we demonstrated that HM did not interfere in viral entry but the recruitment of lysine-specific demethylase-1 (LSD1) and the binding of immediate-early (IE) complex on ICP0 promoter.

Experiments were carried out to determine the role of insulin receptor interaction in the nitric oxide induced maspin synthesis in neutrophils that was effected by estrogen or progesterone.
Methods: Estrogen receptor positive (ER+) and progesterone receptor positive (PR+) neutrophils were isolated from the blood cancer subjects.
p53, a member of the innate immune system, is triggered under stress to induce cell growth arrest and apoptosis. Thus, p53 is an important target for viruses, as efficient infection depends on modulation of the host apoptotic machinery. This study focuses on how rotaviruses manipulate intricate p53 signaling for their advantage.

We demonstrate that influenza A virus matrix 1 protein (M1), an established proapoptotic protein, activates nuclear factor-κB member RelB-mediated survival genes (cIAP1, cIAP2, and cFLIP), a function that is linked with its nuclear translocation during early infection. Death domain-associated protein 6 (Daxx) is a transcription co-repressor of the RelB-responsive gene promoters.

Studies were conducted to determine the function of the PR in neutrophils in the nitric oxide-induced synthesis of maspin, an anti-breast-cancer protein produced in nonmalignant mammary cells and in neutrophils in the circulation.
Methods: PR status was determined by immunohistochemistry.
