Idiopathic Gingival Fibromatosis: Report of a Rare Case.

The progressive overgrowth of the gingiva is the hallmark of idiopathic gingival fibromatosis (IGF). Excess gingival tissue can obscure the crown of a tooth, resulting in spaces between teeth, displacement, retention of primary or permanent teeth, and difficulties with feeding, speaking, and appearance. The diagnosis and management of inherited gingival fibromatosis are the focus of this case report.

Evaluation of Antioxidant, Anti-inflammatory, and Antimicrobial Activities of Raspberry Fruit Extract: An In Vitro Study.

Introduction is an edible fruit that contains numerous significant bioactive compounds that hold important biological properties and are categorized as nutraceuticals owing to the health benefits it imparts including decreasing the risk of chronic diseases like diabetes mellitus, cancer, heart disease, and many other diseases. The objective of the present research was to explore the antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory characteristics of the aqueous raspberry extract through in vitro assays. Materials and methods aqueous extract was prepared and examined for its antimicrobial activity against bacteria and fungi using the agar-well diffusion method, and the antioxidant activity was evaluated using the DPPH (2, 2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl hydrate) radical scavenging assay and the hydrogen peroxide radical scavenging assay.

Enzyme Therapy: Current Perspectives.

Enzymes control all metabolic processes in human system from simple digestion of food to highly complex immune response. Streptococcus thermophilus is an important lactic starter used in the production of yogurt. Most strains of S. thermophilus are galactose negative (Gal(-)) and are able to metabolize only glucose portion of lactose and expel galactose into the medium.

Lymphangioma circumscriptum in an adult: an unusual oral presentation.

Lymphangioma is a benign hamartomatous tumor of lymphatic vessels. This lymphatic malformation is characterized by an abnormal proliferation of lymphatic vessels. Extra-oral lymphangiomas occur more frequently in the neck region predominantly in the posterior triangle, while intra-oral lymphangiomas are commonly seen in the tongue mainly on the dorsum surface.
