Objective: The earthquakes that struck Türkiye on February 6, 2023, significantly impacted the province of Hatay. A portion of the patients presenting to emergency departments (ED) following the earthquake were exposed to secondary effects without experiencing direct physical trauma. This study aims to evaluate the demographic, clinical, and psychosocial characteristics of patients presenting to the ED during the early post-earthquake period due to secondary effects, as well as to examine the challenges encountered during this process.

Materials And Methods: A total of 40 newly weaned male Wistar albino rats used in the study were randomized into 4 different groups based on the gluten rations they were given. Following 12 weeks of diet they were killed and intracardiac blood samples were collected.
Five samples were fabricated to obtain a diode with a PVA interface, both with and without graphene doping at different rates with high rectification in the dark. The electrospinning method was employed to apply the doped and undoped solutions, creating the interlayers. Since the diode with a 1 wt % graphene-doped PVA interlayer outperformed the other samples, the main electrical and photodetector characteristics of this structure were investigated.

This study investigates the beta irradiation's impact on the electrical features of interfacial nanostructures composed of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) doped with graphene. The integration of graphene, a 2D carbon allotrope renowned for its exceptional electrical conductivity, into PVA nanostructures holds significant promise for advanced electronic applications. Beta irradiation, as a controlled method of introducing radiation, offers a unique avenue to modulate the properties of these nanostructures.

Materials And Methods: Twenty disk-shaped specimens (10 × 2 mm) were made using a single brand of CAD-CAM polymethyl methacrylate resin (Polident) for the color test. Group N consisted of half of the specimens that were machined using the new tungsten carbide bur set, and Group U consisted of the specimens that were milled using the used bur set (500 machining time).
Lanthanides are largely used in optoelectronics as dopants to enhance the physical and optical properties of semiconducting devices. In this study, lanthanum(III)hydroxide nanoparticles (La(OH)NPs) are used as a dopant of polyethylenimine (PEI)-functionalized nitrogen (N)-doped graphene quantum dots (). The nanocomposites are prepared from La(NO) in a single step by a green novel method and are characterized by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-vis), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate prediabetic patients for microvascular changes using optical coherence tomography-angiography (OCT-A) and compare with diabetic patients and healthy controls.
Methods: OCT-A images of 60 eyes of 30 patients with diabetes mellitus (DM), 72 eyes of 36 prediabetic patients, and 108 eyes of 54 healthy controls were retrospectively evaluated and compared in this study. A swept-source OCTA (Triton, Topcon) instrument was used for collecting OCT-A images.
In this study, poly(2-ethylhexyl acrylate) (PEHA) homopolymer and its copolymer combined with acrylic acid P(EHA--AA) were employed as interfaces in two separate Schottky structures. First, both interfaces were grown by initiated chemical vapor deposition (iCVD), which provides much better deposition control and homogeneous coating compared to solution-phase methods. In addition to this advantageous method, the effects of two different polymers, one of which is better able to adhere to the crystal surface on which it is formed than the other, on the optoelectronic properties have been studied.

Research Design And Methods: As the potential role in CLZ metabolism is assigned to CYP1A2 enzyme and consequently Cytochrome P450 oxidoreductase (POR) their genetic variations might help to determine CLZ levels in schizophrenia patients. For this purpose, 112 schizophrenia patients receiving CLZ were included in the current study.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the fracture resistance and marginal adaptation of endo-crown restorations produced from different resin-matrix ceramics (RMS) and the effects of these materials on marginal adaptation and fracture resistance. Three frasaco models were used by preparing (first) premolar teeth in three different margin preparations: butt-joint, heavy chamfer and shoulder. Each group was further divided into four subgroups according to the type of restorative material used: Ambarino High Class (AHC), Voco Grandio (VG), Brilliant Crios (BC) and Shofu (S) ( = 30).

Materials And Methods: Ceramic molar tubes were bonded to fifty-four maxillary molar teeth, and a shear bond strength (SBS) test was performed. The adhesive remnant index (ARI) scores were recorded, and the samples were divided into two groups for adhesive removal with low-speed instruments: tungsten carbide bur or diamond-coated micropolisher point.
Background: In recent years, the fruit flies Rhagoletis cerasi L., Ceratitis capitata Wied. (Diptera: Tephritidae), Drosophila suzukii (Matsumura) and Zaprionus indianus (Gupta) (Diptera: Drosophilidae) (Tephritidae and Drosophilidae) have become an increasingly serious problem for cherry production in Turkey, which ranks first among cherry-producing countries.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of different surface treatment methods on the micro-tensile bond strength (μTBS) of resin-matrix ceramic (RMC) blocks repaired with resin composite. Three different prefabricated RMC blocks including Lava Ultimate (LU), Grandio Blocs (GB), and Shofu Block HC (HC) were thermo-cycled and divided into five surface treatment groups: Control (C), bur grinding (G), airborne particle abrasion (APA), Er,Cr:YSGG laser irritation (LI), and APA combined with LI (APA+LI). After surface treatments, topographic alterations were examined by scanning electron microscopy.

Background And Aim: Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), is a vasoprolipherative disorder of the immature retina and a major cause of preventable blindness in childhood. Although the development of ROP is multifactorial, the main reasons are lower gestational age and birth weight. However, in twins their gestational ages were the same, ROP development can be discordant.

Although computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) systems have recently become popular for the fabrication of complete dentures, the effects of the repeated usage of milling burs on the surface properties of CAD-CAM denture base acrylic resins have not yet been fully investigated.
Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the effects of new and used burs on the Ra and contact angles (wettability) of a CAD-CAM polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) denture base material.
