Objective: Studies suggest that children and adolescents suffering from AD(H)D show a specific WISC-IV profile in comparison to subjects of the same age group without any mental disorder. The present study compares the cognitive profiles of male subjects with AD(H)D to those of a clinical control group. The benefits of applying an ADHD specific cognitive profile analysis to differential diagnostics are analyzed.

Faustlos is a violence prevention program for primary school and preschool children for the promotion of social and emotional competences. The curriculum focuses on the promotion of empathy, impulse control and anger management. The program was evaluated over a period of three years in 13 first and second grade classes.

Starting from needs assessment and actual situation of child and adolescent psychiatric care the following article describes priorities, gateways, interfaces and problems related to the co-operation of parents, children and adolescents with office- and hospital-based physicians and institutions in the early diagnosis, hospital admission, in-patient treatment and outpatient follow-up of children and adolescents with psychotic disorders.
