Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates the relationship between resilience, psychological symptoms, and recovery outcomes in women one year after undergoing gynecological surgery.
  • A total of 271 women participated, with high resilience levels noted regardless of benign or malignant diagnoses, leading to less pain and better health-related quality of life a year later.
  • Results showed that while pre-surgery quality of life and anxiety levels were worse in patients with malignant diagnoses, improvements were observed at the 12-month mark for both groups, particularly in life satisfaction and reduced anxiety.
