Aim: We aimed to determine the effectiveness of high sensitive troponin I (hs-cTn-I) levels to predict the prognosis of spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (sICH) by comparing Glasgow Coma Score (GCS) and hematoma volume with hs-cTn-I levels.
Methods: This study was planned as a retrospective observational study.
Objective: To investigate the effects of tocilizumab (TCZ), epoetin beta (EPO), and their combination on nerve regeneration in a sciatic nerve injury model.
Materials And Method: Male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into (-) negative control, sham, TCZ, EPO ((+) positive control), and TCZ+EPO groups. The TCZ group received TCZ (8 mg/kg intraperitoneal) immediately after surgery.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of IGF1 and FGF2 growth factors on the differentiation of human adipose tissue‑derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) into skeletal muscle cells.
Methods: MSCs were divided into four groups. Group I (control group) was incubated only in myogenic medium, group II was incubated by adding 100 ng/ml FGF2 to the myogenic medium, group III was incubated by adding 20 ng/ml IGF1 to the myogenic medium, group IV was incubated by adding 100 ng/ml FGF2 and 20 ng/ml IGF1 to the myogenic medium.

Materials And Methods: For tumor transplantation; mice were inoculated with 1 × 10 EAC cells intraperitoneally and than divided into five groups (n = 9). Two hours after inoculation; experimental groups were treated daily with VO extract at doses of 1000 mg/kg, 2000 mg/kg, 4000 mg/kg.
Background: Curcumin is a polyphenol compound that has antioxidant, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-hyperlipidemic and antimicrobial effects. Nucleolar-organizing regions are the sites of the gene on chromosomes. The present study was aimed to show the antitumoral effect of curcumin via AgNOR protein synthesis in Ehrlich's ascitic carcinoma (EAC) bearing mice.

Materials And Methods: Our study was performed with 120 AS working for the Kırıkkale Ambulance Services. During the research, questionnaires collecting descriptive information and the extent of violence to which the AS were exposed were administered; participants were asked to fill out the questionnaire themselves.
Background: Interferon beta (IFNb) was the first proven drug for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS). The diagnosis of MS frequently occurs in women at childbearing age (especially in twenties and thirties). Therefore, the pregnancy process is major concern for many women with MS.

Providing normative values for paranasal sinus size and their changes related to age could be helpful in evaluating the presence of some diseases related to sinonasal region. The purpose of the current study was to investigate the development of maxillary sinuses and evaluate the volume changes according to age and sex by using stereological and ellipsoidal formula methods after that to compare these approaches with each other in children.

Objective: Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is an acute illness affecting multiple organ systems characterized by thrombocytopenia, and/or leukopenia, elevated levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and creatine kinase (CK) and it has a case-fatality of 8% to 80%. In this article, we aimed to determine the clinical and laboratory findings that predicts the disease on admission.
Patients And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the medical data of the patients admitted to our emergency department (ED) due to tick bite.

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of volume-controlled hemorrhage and hypothermia on rats with blunt chest trauma, evaluating bacterial translocation (BT), lung tissue malondialdehyde (MDA), nitric oxide (NO) levels, and erythrocyte deformability (ED).
Methods: In our study, 10 animals each were included in 6 groups. Groups were as follows: a group with blunt chest trauma only (Group T), a group with hemorrhage only (Group H), a normothermic group with comorbidity of trauma and hemorrhage (Group NT), a mild hypothermic group with trauma and hemorrhage (Group MH), a moderate hypothermic group with trauma and hemorrhage (Group MoH), and a control group (Group C).
Background: In the recent days there has been an increase in diseases known as "angiogenic diseases" characterized by pathologic vascularisation. In the rat, the development of embryonic vessel starts to occur at 9.5 days of gestation.

Methods: The in vitro effects of EPO on total embryonic development and brain VEGF receptor (VEGFR) expressions were investigated in 50 rat embryos at 9.
Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever (CCHF) is a tick-borne disease endemic in Turkey since 2002. Çorum is one of the leading five cities in Turkey in which CCHF disease is seen most. We studied characteristics of the patients with tick bites in our emergency department (ED) and determined the fatality rate of the disease in city of Çorum for the first time.

Eight weeks old Balb-C male mice received subcutaneous injections of 1,2-dimethylhydrazine (DMH) (20 mg/kg body weight) once a week for 12 weeks. Both the sham control (group 1) and the DMH control (group 2) groups received drinking water alone, whereas the mice of groups 3 and 4 received gilaburu juice for 30 weeks (started with first DMH injection) and for 18 weeks (started after last DMH injection), respectively.

Nerve blocks performed in the acute phase of HZ may treat the pain and prevent PHN development. Here, we present pain relief with modified van-Lint block in two cases with AHZ involving vesicles on the traces of the supraorbital and supratrochlear nerves.

Endostatin, one of the most potent negative regulators of angiogenesis, is naturally occurring as an inhibitor of angiogenesis capable of inhibiting tumor growth and their metastases. We aimed to investigate the in vivo activities of low dose of recombinant human endostatin on 1,2-dimethylhydrazine (DMH)-induced mice colon cancer. Thirty male Balb-c mice were injected with DMH (20 mg/kg/week) subcutaneously once a week for 12 weeks to induce colon cancer.
