The objective of this study was to evaluate group-by-time interactions between gray matter morphology of healthy controls and that of patients with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) as they transitioned from acute to chronic stages, and to relate these findings to long-term cognitive alterations to identify distinct recovery trajectories between good outcome (GO) and poor outcome (PO). High-resolution T1-weighted magnetic resonance images were acquired in 49 mTBI patients within 7 days and 1 year post-injury and at equivalent times in 49 healthy controls. Aim: To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy achieved from a fat-water Dixon sequence alone compared to a combination of a silicone-specific magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) sequence and a water-specific MRI sequence in the assessment of breast implants.

Materials And Methods: In this institutional review board (IRB)-approved study the integrity of breast implants was assessed retrospectively in 27 patients undergoing breast MRI at 3 T. A qualitative evaluation of (set 1) a silicon-selective water-saturated short tau inversion recovery (STIR) sequence in combination with a water-only Dixon dataset (total acquisition time 7 minutes 17 seconds), and of (set 2) fat-only and water-only Dixon datasets (4 minutes 8 seconds) was performed by two readers independently evaluating the following features: margin definition of the implant, water suppression homogeneity, image quality, presence of artefacts and their effects on the imaging interpretation, and diagnostic confidence.

Purpose: To evaluate a simplified Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) algorithm to improve interreader agreement while maintaining diagnostic performance for HCC.

Materials And Methods: MRI scans of 84 cirrhotic patients with 104 distinct liver observations were retrospectively selected to equivocally match each of the LI-RADS grades (LR1-5) using histopathology and imaging follow up as standard of reference. Four independent radiologists categorized all observations as benign (LR1-2) or potentially malignant (LR3-5) and determined LI-RADS based imaging features including observation size, arterial phase hyperenhancement, washout, capsule appearance and threshold growth for LR3-5 observations and timed their readouts.
