Primary cardiac sarcomas are very aggressive, being a challenge to cardio-oncology specialty. Surgical planning and innovative techniques have enhanced the possibility of resection. We have described a case of recurrent primary left atrium angiosarcoma, successfully resected with a modified partial autotransplantation technique, planned using a 3-dimensional model created from computed tomography.

An increase in the expression of epidermal growth factor receptors (EGFR) is involved in the stimulation of tumor development. EGFR inhibitors have shown efficacy in the treatment of neoplasms of the head, neck, colon and lung. EGFR when inhibited can cause cutaneous reactions in more than 50% of the patients.

The case of a 59-year-old man with generalized paracoccidioidomycosis and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome without previous clinical diagnosis was observed at necropsy. There was fungal dissemination on multiple organs, particularly in the lymph nodes, characterizing the acute reactivation of an old infection. This is an additional case to be added to the few already on record.
