Immunotherapy has revolutionized cancer treatment in the last decade and has significantly improved patient survival. However, immunotherapy is associated with serious cardiac adverse events including myocarditis and conduction disturbances. In the literature, the mortality rate in patients with immunotherapy-associated myocarditis and complete AV block is reported to be approximately 60%.

This study aimed to examine the relationship between the systemic coagulation ınflammation ındex (SCII) and septic embolism in patients with infective endocarditis (IE).
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the data of 167 IE patients treated at our tertiary care hospital between January 2007 and January 2023.
Objective: Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is a sleep disorder whose frequency is increasing daily due to modern lifestyle. Patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), which has the same predisposing factors, frequently visit the outpatient clinic with complaints of palpitation. Existing symptoms are often associated with the course of OSAS, and the development of AF, a disease with high morbidity and mortality, cannot be detected.

Therefore, it is crucial to effectively remove colored contaminants from water in order to protect the environment and public health, maintain biodiversity and preserve the esthetic aspects of water resources. In this study, wood chips obtained from (PB) tree grown in many parts of the world were turned into biochar and then modified and used for the removal of malachite green, a cationic dye.

Objective: Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is a rare but potentially life-threatening pathology and cases are especially seen in women under 50 years of age and with relatively fewer cardiovascular risk factors. Although risk factors facilitating the development of SCAD have been defined in the literature, modifiable risk factors remain unclear. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the relationship between the triglyceride glucose index (TyG) and the development of SCAD in the population of young women.

Although it reduces cancer recurrence, it has been shown to cause accerelerated athnerosclerosis. This study aimed to compare the results of myocardial perfusion scintigraphy (MPS) for ischemia investigation with coronary angiography (CAG) findings and to investigate the effect of RT on the development of coronary artery disease in breast cancer patients who underwent RT.

Interventional radiologists also have minimal experience in pediatric patients. There are no reported cases anywhere worldwide, especially in this age group.

We investigated the association between the systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) and coronary thrombus burden in patients with non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) who underwent coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). A total of 389 patients with the diagnosis of NSTEMI participated in our study.

On the other hand, these neoplasms might be potentially associated with the evolution of takotsubo cardiomyopathy (TTC) that is universally considered as a transient form of acute myocardial dysfunction. Accordingly, the present paper primarily aims to focus on potential mechanisms and associated clinical implications of TTC evolution in the setting of cardiac myxomas.

In clinical practice, pathophysiology of Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) has been attributed to adrenergic discharge mostly associated with a variety of stressors. Occasionally, organic sources of adrenergic discharge (including pheochromocytoma) might also account for this phenomenon and are not considered as exclusion criteria for the diagnosis of TTS (as opposed to previous suggestions). We read with great interest the recently published article by Maffè et al.

Background: It is known that chemotherapeutic agents cause myocardial cell damage leading to left ventricular dysfunction and heart failure. Fragmented QRS is an indication of fibrosis developing as a result of myocardial cell damage. The aim of this study is to assess whether there is a relationship between the chemotherapeutic treatment and the development of the fragmented QRS complex in electrocardiography (ECG).
