Sexual life experiences of women with diabetes: A systematic review and synthesis of qualitative studies.

This study aims to systematically interpret and synthesize the data obtained from qualitative research about the sexual lives of women with diabetes. A thorough literature review was conducted between May and July 2023 across five electronic databases: PubMed, Web of Science, CINAHL, EBSCO, and Science Direct Embase. Eight studies published in English since 2000, which explored the sexual experiences of women with diabetes, were included in this assessment.

Comparison of lornoxicam versus tramadol analgesia for transrectal prostate biopsy: a randomized prospective study.

Introduction: We compared the efficacy of lornoxicam and tramadol to provide analgesia and comfort during transrectal ultrasound-guided biopsy of the prostate (TRUSP) as a noninvasive method.

Materials And Methods: A total of 62 men undergoing TRUSP were enrolled in this study. Patients were randomized to three groups.

Prevention of pain and infective complications after transrectal prostate biopsy: a prospective study.

Aim: To investigate the effects of lidocaine gel and parenteral antibiotics and povidine lavage in the treatment of pain occurring during prostate biopsy in terms of infective complications.

Patients And Methods: Eighty patients with indications for prostate biopsy were randomized into two groups. One group underwent lavage with povidine iodine solution and lidocaine gel, and the other received cephtriaxon and lavage.

Coagulation parameters in the patients with Fournier's Gangrene.

Aim: In this prospective study, we aimed to determine the coagulation parameters in the patients with Fournier's gangrene.

Methods: The study group is consisted of 12 consecutive Fournier's gangrene patients (11 men and 1 woman) and control group is consisted of patients with periurethral abscess (n = 2), scrotal abscess (n = 4) and epididimorchitis (n = 4). Fibrinogen, protein C, protein S, antithrombin III, lupus anticoagulant, cardiolipin IgG and IgM, prothrombin time-international normalized ratio, activated partial thromboplastin time, platelet count, proaccelerin, antihemophilic globulin (FVIII), albumin, and calcium were evaluated in all subjects.

Cerebrospinal fluid prostate specific antigen (CSF PSA) in prostate cancer patients with lower spine metastasis.

Aim: In this prospective study, our aim was to investigate the CSF PSA levels and CSF/Serum PSA ratios in patients with prostate cancer with lower spine metastasis.

Methods: The study involved patients with prostate cancer (n = 15), benign prostatic hyperplasia (n = 17) and non-prostatic disease (n = 9). Serum and CSF were obtained prior to spinal anesthesia for urological surgery.
