The paper presents clinicoepidemiological characteristics of VHB associated forms in case of parenteral entry of the infection. This predetermines systemic dissemination of the virus. The preventive measures are discussed.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe paper discusses problems of the prevention and treatment of fulminant hepatitis running with massive and submassive hepatic necrosis in evidence of immunodeficiency. The occurrence of most cases is associated with parenteral mode of the infection entry, violation of antiepidemic regulations in hospitals and lack of donors' supervision. High mortality persisting in hospitals requires urgent measures to control parenteral infection with viral hepatitis of different antigenic variants.

The changes are obvious from reduced incidence of epidemic diseases, distinct clinical appearance of infection, different cyclic pattern of a number of nosological entities. Such newly recognized diseases as hemorrhagic fever, adenovirus and herpes virus infections, yersiniosis, rotavirus gastroenteritis, legionellosis, AIDS have advanced to the forefront.
