Death and end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) are major outcomes of glomerular disease. (GD) The years of potential life lost (YLL) may provide additional insight into the disease burden beyond death rates. There is limited data on premature mortality in GD.

This study examined family violence and identified influencing factors during the COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand.
Methods: A mixed-method design was used, entailing a questionnaire followed by focus group interviews.
Background: There are several surgical methods of lumbar discectomy which provide the similar clinical outcomes. There is no clear evidence for how to select the procedures. To better understand the patient's opinion and decision process in the selection of surgical methods between microscopic lumbar discectomy (MLD) and endoscopic lumbar discectomy (ELD).

Nevertheless, monitoring the safety of vaccines is crucial. As Thailand began the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccination, our study examined the acute adverse effects and associated factors after the first dose of vaccination.

This analysis used three years of data from the Behavioral Surveillance Survey (BSS) to examine the behaviors and biomedical interventions among MSM in Bangkok. Percent MSM with an HIV or STI test in the past 12 months decreased from 50.

Methods: In total, 116 children/adolescents with ADHD were screened for iron deficiency. Participants who exhibited iron deficiency were randomized into 2 groups (ferrous supplementation vs placebo).
Mesangial C4d deposits have been associated with worse outcomes in Western patients with IgA nephropathy (IgAN), but there is limited data in Asians. Previously, a high proportion of stained glomeruli was often required for the classification of C4d positive (C4d+ve). Positive staining in lower proportion of staining would be classified as C4d-ve.

Methods: We performed a 5-year retrospective cohort study (July 2013-June 2018) using data from the Ramathibodi Poison Center.
Results: There were 244 cases included in this study.
Aim: To investigate the relationship between the levels of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in tears and dry eye disease severity based on both clinical symptoms and signs.
Methods: Tear samples were collected from 36 non-Sjögren syndrome dry eye patients (10 males and 26 females, mean age 50.11±11.
We aimed to describe clinical characteristics and outcomes of paraquat poisoning in pregnant patients, their fetuses, and newborns. We performed a retrospective study of pregnant patients who were exposed to paraquat, from the Ramathibodi Poison Center Toxic Exposure Surveillance System, during a 5-year period. Thirty-six patients, representing every trimester, were included.

Methods: This retrospective chart review study was conducted in a tertiary center. Women who had a ring with support pessary successfully fitted between January 2009 and December 2013 and had completed up to 3 years of follow-up care were included in the analysis.
Purpose: Three species in the genus inhabit Thailand. Among these, (Malayan krait) is the most common and deadliest. Currently, the clinical manifestations of patients envenomed by kraits, especially (banded krait), have not been thoroughly investigated.

NF is a promising treatment for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), but there have been only a few randomized controlled trials comparing the effectiveness of NF with medication with various NF protocols. The aim of this study was therefore to evaluate the effectiveness of unipolar electrode NF using theta/beta protocol compared with methylphenidate (MPH) for ADHD.

Allergic sensitization to aeroallergen is a major risk factor in developing the allergic disease. The prevalence of aeroallergen sensitization varies in different regions and countries.

Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1) is a chemokine that promotes renal inflammation whereas epidermal growth factor (EGF) stimulates protective responses. Previously, high urine MCP-1(MCP-1) and low urine EGF (EGF) levels were found to be associated with tubulointerstitial fibrosis, but there is limited information on the value of these mediators as predictors of therapeutic responses or long term outcome in primary glomerulonephritis.

Methods: We performed a retrospective cohort study of amatoxin poisoning cases from Ramathibodi Poison Center Toxic Exposure Surveillance System, from May 2013 to August 2015.
Results: There were 30 consultations with a total of 55 poisoning cases.
Objective: The objectives of this study were to describe the clinical characteristics and outcomes of poisoning by zinc phosphide, a common rodenticide in Thailand, and to evaluate whether these outcomes can be prognosticated by the clinical presentation.
Materials And Methods: A 3-year retrospective cohort study was performed using data from the Ramathibodi Poison Center Toxic Exposure Surveillance System.
Results: In total, 455 poisonings were identified.
Background: Statins are proposed as a chemoprevention agent for breast cancer due to their anti-inflammatory effect. The effects of lipophilic and hydrophilic statins on breast cancer risk might be different due to their different pharmacologic properties. Therefore, this study aimed to assess a casual-effect of lipophilic and hydrophilic statins on breast cancer risk using a counterfactual framework approach.

The second edition of the Y-BOCS (Y-BOCS-II) was developed to address some limitations of the original version. However, there is no self-report version of the Y-BOCS-II at the moment.

Methods: A total of 68 cervical cancer patients with bone metastasis were treated at a single hospital, during January 1998 to December 2010. Fifty-two medical records were identified and collected, the remaining sixteen medical records were not found.
Study Design: A prospective cohort.
Purpose: To report the short and long term outcomes of fluoroscopically guided lumbar transforaminal epidural steroid injection (TFESI) in degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis (DLS) patients.
Overview Of Literature: TFESI has been widely used for the treatment of lumbosacral radicular pains.
The relationship between asplenia and thrombophilia in β-thalassemia disease patients is not yet completely understood. One hundred and ten adult hemoglobin (Hb) E/β-thalassemia (E/β-Thal) disease outpatients, dichotomized according to the presence or absence of the spleen, were prospectively studied for evidence of intravascular hemolysis (IVH) and vascular endothelial cell (EC) activation. Biomarkers of IVH (serum cell-free Hb), EC [soluble E-selectin (sE-selectin) and soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (sVCAM-1)], platelet and EC [soluble P-selectin (sP-selectin)], inflammation [high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP)], and coagulation [thrombin-antithrombin complexes (TAT)] activation, as well as other selected blood tests were determined.

Methods: One hundred and ten clinically stable E/β-Thal outpatients, sixty-one of whom had undergone splenectomy, were prospectively studied using their clinical profiles, selected blood tests, chest roentgenogram, and transthoracic echocardiogram. Based on the pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP) values estimated by the echocardiogram of ≥36 mmHg, they were dichotomized into those with (PHT+) and without (PHT-) PHT.
Objective: To determine the efficacy of polyethylene plastic draping in preventing hypothermia during umbilical catheterization.
Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted in newborns who required umbilical catheterization. A sterile polyethylene plastic sheet covering the procedural field was used in the plastic group, and a sterile conventional cotton drape was used in the control group.
