Chromosome 15q26 deletion is a rare condition that causes short stature and is associated with intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR), failure to thrive, congenital heart disease and many congenital malformations. The insulin growth factor receptor (IGF-1R) on chromosome 15 has many important roles, especially in growth regulation. Our case is an 18-month-old small for gestational age girl who presented with severe short stature, microcephaly and minor dysmorphic features.

Method: Male patients who were admitted to our flu outpatient clinic with cough, fever, weakness, and bone and joint pain were evaluated. The acute phase reactants of erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reactive protein, ferritin, and fibrinogen were measured both at the time the patients first presented at the clinic and 1 month after recovery from COVID-19 infection.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine the effects of a training program based on educational brochures and audio recordings of testicular cancer (TC) stories on testicular self-examination (TSE) and health beliefs among university students.
Design: The study had a pretest-posttest, control group experimental design.
Sample: This study was conducted with 106 students in Turkey.
Purpose: This study aimed to translate the Maternal Health Literacy Inventory in Pregnancy (MHELIP) scale into Turkish and evaluate its validity and reliability for use in the Turkish population.
Methods: The participants in this methodological study included 250 pregnant women who presented to the antenatal clinic of the Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul, Turkiye. Content validity was assessed using expert approval.
Background: The incidence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is increasing with obesity, and it is believed that the ongoing low-grade inflammation in obesity and alterations in the enterohepatic axis contributing this process. This study aimed to determine the role of fecal calprotectin (FC) as inflammatory biomarker in obesity and NAFLD.
Methods: Between November 2022-August 2023, 31 obese and 10 healthy adolescents aged between 10 and 18 years enrolled in this prospective controlled study.

Exposure of the developing brain to androgens during fetal life is known to affect sexual development, including postnatal sex and sexual orientation. However, these relationships are both multifactorial and unpredictable. It is generally assumed that congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) has greater effects in women than in men due to non-physiological adrenal androgen excess.

However, their assessment and management remain in the background compared with motor symptoms. This study was conducted to better understand sleep disorders in PwMS and to analyze sleep problems and their predictive symptoms.

Methods: In the diagnostic accuracy study carried out with a total of 195 nursing home residents, sarcopenia was evaluated according to the European Working Group on Sarcopenia in Older Persons 2 algorithm.
The assessment of phenolic compounds in food samples, environmental samples, and medical applications has gained importance recently. Here, we present research on novel conjugated polymer nanoparticles (P-PimBzBt NPs) and their composites with two-dimensional titanium disulfide nanosheets (2D-TiS) for electrochemical tyrosinase (TYR)-based catechol detection. P-PimBzBt NPs are decorated with 2D-TiS to enhance the electrochemical performance for biosensing.

The research employed a retrospective design to analyze the micronutrient levels, including ferritin, folic acid, vitamin B12, and vitamin D, in a limited sample size from a single hospital. However, it is worth noting that the study did not scrutinize other potentially relevant micronutrients and biomarkers and lacked information on potential confounding factors such as lifestyle and dietary habits, physical activity levels, and specific details on antihypertensive medications used.

Methods: In this study, which was designed as a systematic review, the searches were performed on Web of Science, Science Direct, Medline, Wiley, and Cochrane Library databases between April 10, 2023, and May 10, 2023, and the searches were updated between October 16, 2023, and November 14, 2023. Of the 1855 studies obtained from the screening, 17 met the criteria and were included in the systematic review.
Purpose: To evaluate the safety, effectiveness, and oncological outcomes of irreversible electroporation (IRE) of unresectable colorectal liver metastases (CRLMs) close to critical structures.
Materials And Methods: This is a single-center, institutional review board (IRB)-approved, retrospective analysis of patients who underwent percutaneous computed tomography (CT)-guided IRE of CRLM. Between August 2018 and October 2023, 26 patients had 46 tumors treated with percutaneous IRE in 30 ablation sessions.
Objective: Increased frequency of autoimmune thyroid disease, particularly Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) was reported several studies in the literature, in individuals with childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus (cSLE). Our study aimed to investigate the prevalence and contributing factors of thyroid dysfunction and HT among cSLE patients.
Methods: Thyroid function tests were obtained cross-sectionally from cSLE patients.
Background: The relationships underlying the dynamic between obesity and parental neglect in terms of nutritional habits and obesity awareness are unclear. Parental neglect remains a significant subject of concern that needs to be examined in the context of obesity.
Methods: The aim was to examine the relationships between childhood obesity, parental neglect, children's eating habits and obesity.
Acrylamide (ACR) can have adverse environmental effects because of its multiple applications. Relevant scientific literatures of the existence of ACR residues in foods following processing steps have raised concern in the biochemistry, chemistry and safety of this vinyl substance. The interest has focused on the hepatotoxicity of ACR in animals and humans and on the ACR content mitigation and its detoxification.

Methods: Retrospective cohort study of 149 prenatally diagnosed pregnancies with fetal VM. VM was classified as mild (Vp = 10-12 mm), moderate (Vp = 12.
Physico-chemical properties of fish flesh are reliable predictors of fillet quality and nutritional value. In our study, the age-related variations of the chemical composition, pH, water activity (aw), water holding capacity (WHC), color and texture analysis, protein thermal stability, myofibrillar fragmentation index (MFI), glycogen content, protein oxidation and protein profiles were investigated in (rainbow trout) fillet. The results revealed that protein denaturation temperatures (T1 and T2) decreased by 2 % and 11.

Objective: Craniopharyngiomas (CPG) have complex treatment challenges due to their proximity to vital structures, surgical and radiotherapeutic complexities, and the tendency for recurrence. The aim of this study was to identify the prevalence of endocrine and metabolic comorbidities observed during initial diagnosis and long-term follow-up in a nationwide cohort of pediatric CPG patients. A further aim was to highlight the difficulties associated with CPG management.

Immunotherapy may enhance antitumor activity in combination with standard therapies in patients with mCRC. Here, we present phase 2 results of nivolumab plus standard-of-care therapy (SOC; 5-fluorouracil/leucovorin/oxaliplatin/bevacizumab) versus SOC in the first-line treatment of patients with mCRC (CheckMate 9X8).
