A tracheal diverticulum (TD) is a generally benign medical condition, where there is an outpouching of the tracheal wall. Additionally, it is generally asymptomatic but there have been reported cases of adverse outcomes linked to TD. Here we present a case of a tracheal diverticulum that was incidentally found during the workup for stroke in a patient.

Ex-aspirated: A Case of Dental Product Aspiration With Retrieval Methodology and Current Review.

Foreign body aspiration is of significant prevalence in the pediatric and young adult populations. After dental work, patients are more likely to develop pulmonary symptoms secondary to aspiration events within the tracheobronchial tree. Herein, we describe the clinical case of a 22-year-old man with a past medical history of epilepsy and tuberous sclerosis who presented to his primary care provider for chronic coughing and wheezing.

The Comparative Assessment of Wellens' Syndrome With Proximal Left Anterior Descending Artery (LAD) Stenosis Versus Right Coronary Artery (RCA) or Circumflex Coronary Artery Stenosis and Its Prevalence: A Systematic Review.

Wellens' syndrome is well-known for its critical stenosis of the proximal left anterior descending artery (LAD) with characteristic electrocardiographic findings of biphasic or deeply inverted T waves in V2-V6 under specific diagnostic criteria. Although the syndrome is known as a high-grade LAD lesion, its sequence of events can also be seen with the right coronary artery (RCA) and the left circumflex artery (LCX). This systemic review attempts to expand on these findings while analyzing the prevalence of Wellens' syndrome with the RCA and/or the circumflex artery.

Necrotizing Pancreatitis Secondary to Hydrochlorothiazide and Alogliptin: A Case Report.

Drug-induced pancreatitis occurs rarely but should be considered when more common causes have been ruled out. While simple to treat, mortality increases should it progress to a necrotizing process. Here, we present the case of a patient simultaneously using two drugs associated with pancreatitis, which we considered acted synergistically and consequently worsened the patient's outcome.

Community-Acquired Pneumonia Progressing to Necrotizing Pneumonia Due to Congenital Anatomical Abnormalities in the Lung.

Pneumonia is generally a treatable disease but there are instances when physicians are faced with rare circumstances such as congenital structural abnormalities. Structural abnormalities in the lungs may predispose to pneumonia and other complications. We present a patient with pneumonia, which progressed to necrotizing pneumonia.

Seen most commonly in postmenopausal women who experience an acute emotional stressor, its presentation resembles that of acute coronary syndrome with electrocardiogram changes, which is why most patients receive a left heart catheterization revealing clean or nonobstructive coronary arteries.
