Background: This study aimed to show the status of thioldisulphide homeostasis in essential thrombocytosis patients, which is known to play a role in platelet function.
Methods: The study included 27 ET patients and a control group of 36 healthy subjects. Serum total (-SH + -S-S-) and native (-SH) thiol levels were measured in all subjects using an automatic method.

Objectives: Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) is a highly mortal disease in which anemia is unresponsive to treatment. In this study, the effect of basal ferritin values on prognosis and survival was investigated in MDS patients without history of transfusion.
Methods: Data were retrospectively analyzed for 62 MDS cases.
Objective: To determine the frequency and relative importance of the most meaningful symptoms in facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) and to identify the demographic and clinical features that are associated with the greatest disease burden in this population.
Methods: We performed a cross-sectional study involving 328 participants with FSHD. Collectively, participants reported the prevalence and relative importance of 274 symptoms and 15 symptomatic themes.
Background/aim: In this study, it was aimed to investigate the effects ofpulsed electromagnetic field(PEMF) therapy on pain, disability, psychological state, and quality of life in cervical disc herniation.
Materials And Methods: Patients were randomly divided into two groups, including Group 1, which received a therapy consisting of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), hot pack (HP), and PEMF, and Group 2, which received a magnetic field (sham magnetic field) without current flow in addition to TENS and HP therapy. Pain was assessed by a visual analog scale (VAS, 0–10 cm).

Introduction: According to international reports, 30-40% of all head and neck cancers are larynx cancers, comprising 1-2.5% of all cancer types. Cervical nodal involvement has been reported to be 40% and 65% in T3 and T4 cases, respectively.

In this study, our goal was to assess predictors of AF in patients with psoriasis, including total atrial conduction time (TACT) and left atrial global longitudinal strain (LAGLS).
Material And Methods: A total of 80 individuals, including 40 psoriasis patients and 40 healthy controls, were enrolled in the study.
Introduction: Dasatinib is a potent tyrosine-kinase inhibitor which is used for chronic myeloid leukemia treatment. Pleural effusion is a frequent side effect in patients during dasatinib treatment. Pulmonary arterial hypertension is a rare and life-threatening adverse event of dasatinib.

The moisture (5%-8%), ash (4%-17%), volatile matter (60%-76%), and fixed carbon analyses (11%-24%) of the utilized biomass were conducted. The decomposition behavior of biomasses due to the heat effect was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis/differential thermal analysis .

Materials And Methods: 255 liver lesions of 147 patients who had undergone MR examinations of the upper abdomen were evaluated. A maximum number of 4 lesions was taken for consideration in patients with multiple lesions.
Myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSC) are a heterogeneous population of immature hematopoietic precursors known to suppress immune responses. Interaction of SIRP alpha (SIRPα), expressed by myeloid cells, with the ubiquitous receptor CD47 is an important immune checkpoint of the innate response regulating macrophages and dendritic cells functions. We previously described that MDSC expressing SIRPα accumulated after transplantation and maintained kidney allograft tolerance.

The renal resistive index (RRI) is a measure of renal arterial resistance to blood flow. The aim of this study was to investigate the renal resistive index levels of patients with PCOS.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of ASFT measurement during routine obstetric ultrasound performed between 24 and 28 weeks of gestation in predicting cases with GDM. Methods This prospective comparative study was conducted on 50 cases with GDM and 50 cases without GDM in the GDM screening program at 24-28 gestational weeks between January 2018 and May 2018.

Key features of the synthetic routes include trifluoroacetic acid-mediated formation of a lactone that is fused to a tetrahydrocarbazole derivative and its one-pot two-step ring opening and aromatization mediated by para-toluenesulfonic acid and palladium on carbon, respectively.

The present study reports the experimental, spectroscopic, thermal, structural analyses, and biological activities of this complex. The nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug niflumic acid, 3-picoline, and copper(II) chloride were utilized to synthesize a new complex: [Cu Cl (nif) (3-pic) ].

This retrospective observational study included pediatric patients aged 5-17 years admitted to the pediatric neurology clinic with headaches between January 2015 and August 2018 and diagnosed with primary headache based on ICHD III-beta criteria. The control group consisted of healthy children without headache admitted to the pediatric outpatient clinic for check-ups before engaging in athletic or school activities.

This study evaluated bacteriologic agents that might play a role in the etiology of granulomatous mastitis using a molecular method with a universal primer after isolating deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) from pathology specimens from patients diagnosed with granulomatous mastitis.
Materials And Methods: Breast biopsy material in the pathology department obtained between July 2008 and June 2013 was analyzed.
Background: Lichen planus (LP) carries the increased risk of cardiovascular events as it is a chronic inflammatory disease. This study aimed at determining the relationship between total atrial conduction time (TACT), P-wave dispersion, and the left atrium (LA) global strain in the patients with LP.
Methods: Forty people as a control group and 40 patients with LP were included in this study.
Objective: The aim of this study was to introduce a novel methodology for classification of brain hemodynamic responses collected via functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) during rest, motor imagery (MI) and motor execution (ME) tasks which involves generating population-level training sets.
Approach: A 48-channel fNIRS system was utilized to obtain hemodynamic signals from the frontal (FC), primary motor (PMC) and somatosensory cortex (SMC) of ten subjects during an experimental paradigm consisting of MI and ME of various right hand movements. Classification accuracies of random forest (RF), support vector machines (SVM), and artificial neural networks (ANN) were computed at the single subject level by training each classifier with subject specific features, and at the group level by training with features from all subjects for ME versus Rest, MI versus Rest and MI versus ME conditions.
Given the fact that pesticides exist in the aquatic environment at very low concentrations, it is clear that their analysis require expensive analytical techniques. Water authorities in Turkey are in need of assessing the likelihood of pesticide occurrence in groundwater in order to identify minimum number of pesticides that would be included in monitoring programs. To this purpose, the pesticides used in Turkey are ranked and those having higher leaching potentials are identified using pesticide screening leaching indexes.
