The construction of functional, synthetic microcompartments is crucial for advancing our understanding of cellular processes and enhancing technological applications across various fields. This study introduces the creation of lipoproteinosomes, which are microscale compartments constructed from bovine serum albumin and stearoyl chloride (BSA-SC) nanoconjugates synthesized by employing thiourea-linkage chemistry. These spherical lipoproteinsomal microcapsules are formed through a water-in-oil Pickering emulsification process and stabilized in aqueous environments by cross-linking.

SSRIs reduce plasma tau and restore dorsal raphe metabolism in Alzheimer's disease.

Introduction: Tau pathology impacts neurodegeneration and cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease (AD), with the dorsal raphe nucleus (DRN) being among the brain regions showing the earliest tau pathology. As a serotonergic hub, DRN activity is altered by selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), which also have variable effects on cognitive decline and pathology in AD.

Methods: We examined N = 191 subjects with baseline F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography and plasma biomarker data to study the effects of SSRIs on tau pathology, cognitive decline, and DRN metabolism.

Aim: Ulcerative colitis (UC) is an incurable disease represented by relapse and remission. Noninvasive biomarkers are required to predict disease activation. This study aimed to identify noninvasive biomarkers, such as the c-reactive protein-albumin (CRP/ALB) ratio, platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), that might forecast disease activation in UC.

Objective: Cholestatic diseases are common and classified as benign or malignant based on their etiology. HALP is a unique nutritional immune marker that combines indicators of nutritional status, including hemoglobin and albumin, with immune function markers like lymphocyte and platelet counts. We investigated the HALP score's ability to differentiate between benign and malignant causes in extrahepatic cholestasis patients.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of eating motivation on Mediterranean diet adherence, glycemia and lipid profile in individuals with type 2 diabetes. A questionnaire consisting of general information, eating motivation scale and Mediterranean diet adherence scale was applied to 400 individuals with diabetes. Height, weight, plasma glucose, total cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoprotein and high density lipoprotein values were measured.

Introduction: Understanding the mutational landscape of colon cancer (CC) is crucial for targeted therapy development. Microsatellite instability (MSI-H), rat sarcoma (RAS), and B-Raf proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase (BRAF) mutations (MT) are pivotal markers. Further investigation into clinicopathological features of RAS and BRAF MT in microsatellite stable (MSS) and MSI-H tumors is warranted.

Regional variations in psoriatic arthritis: Insights from a nationwide multicenter analysis in Türkiye.

Patients And Methods: A multicenter cross-sectional study involving 1,134 PsA patients from 25 referral centers across seven regions was conducted. Demographic and clinical characteristics, comorbidities, joint involvement, extra-articular manifestations, and disease activity measures were evaluated across regions.

Objective: To evaluate the development of anti-drug antibodies (ADAb) against tumor necrosis factor inhibitors (TNFi) therapy during a 2-year period and search the factors linked to patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA).

Methods: Biologic-naive patients with axSpA were included in this observational study. Serum drug levels and ADAb were measured at weeks 12, 24, 52, and 104 of treatment by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).

Methods: Participants included 30 adolescents with SUD in the outpatient unit, 30 in the inpatient unit, and a control group of 30 adolescents without psychiatric diagnoses.

In this work, the structure and elastic properties of binary and ternary oxides are computed using four XC functionals: LDA, PBE-GGA, PBEsol, and vdW-DF with C09 exchange.

Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between acquired antithrombin deficiency in patients undergoing postcardiotomy extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (PC-ECMO) and thromboembolic or haemorrhagic events such as bleeding, peripheral arterial thromboembolism, and ischemic cerebrovascular events.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between postoperative pain and circadian rhythm after pediatric acute appendicitis surgery.

Methods: Two hundred patients, aged 6-18 years, undergoing acute appendicitis surgery were included in this prospective observational study. The patients were divided into four groups according to the time they underwent surgery: the night group, 01:01-07:00; morning group, 07:01-13:00; afternoon group, 13:01-19:00; and evening group, 19:01-01:00.

Traditional and nontraditional lipid parameters in infection.

This study sought to evaluate the relationship between infection and traditional and nontraditional lipid parameters, including atherogenic index of plasma, cardiogenic risk ratio, atherogenic coefficient and remnant cholesterol. After the application of exclusion criteria, 309 patients were allocated according to the absence (n = 52) or presence (n = 257) of infection. Total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-C) levels were nonsignificantly higher, and HDL-C levels were nonsignificantly lower, in the -infected patient group.
