Introduction: The effects of Kinesio-taping (KT) and rigid-taping (RT) on vertical jump performance have been investigated; however, remain unclear. The study was designed to compare the effects of KT and RT on vertical jump in individuals with pes planus.
Methods: A total of 74 participants were diagnosed with pes planus.

Background: The hand is the most frequently used part of the body during daily life activities. Any musculoskeletal problem that may occur in the hand can lead to loss of function.
Objective: This study examined the relationship between the wrist and elbow position adapted during smartphone use, pain and discomfort, smartphone addiction, and hand function.

Background: Although guidelines and systematic reviews recommend the use of exercise in the treatment of chronic pain and neck pain, there are no clear recommendations for conservative treatments frequently used in clinics. The effect of supporting clinical Pilates exercises with passive physiotherapy methods on biopsychosocial status is still unknown.
Objective: The objective was to investigate the effects of conventional treatment (CT) in addition to clinical Pilates on pain levels, physical condition, functional status, and psychosocial status in individuals with chronic neck pain.
Background And Aims: DILI frequently contributes to the attrition of new drug candidates and is a common cause for the withdrawal of approved drugs from the market. Although some noncytochrome P450 (non-CYP) metabolism enzymes have been implicated in DILI development, their association with DILI outcomes has not been systematically evaluated.
Approach And Results: In this study, we analyzed a large data set comprising 317 drugs and their interactions in vitro with 42 non-CYP enzymes as substrates, inducers, and/or inhibitors retrieved from historical regulatory documents using multivariate logistic regression.
Background: Exercises strengthening foot muscles and customized arch support insoles are recommended for improving foot posture in flexible flatfoot. However, it is not known what the effects of exercises and insoles on plantar force distribution obtained during walking at different speeds. Also, randomized controlled trials comparing the effects of exercises and insoles are limited.

Materials And Methods: One hundred twenty patients diagnosed with PTAP with single-rooted teeth with single-canal without spontaneous pain or swellings were included and randomly divided into three groups according to the intracanal medicament used. Intracanal medicaments were placed into the root canals following the removal of previous root canal fillings and re-instrumentation.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to research the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), lymphocyte-to-C-reactive protein ratio (LCR), and Fournier's Gangrene Severity Index (FGSI) for predicting prognosis and mortality in patients with Fournier's gangrene (FG).
Material And Methods: Patients diagnosed with FG and treated in a tertiary referral hospital in the period from January 2013 to June 2020 were reviewed. LCR, FGSI, and NLR values were calculated.
Background: Neck and jaw pain is common and is associated with jaw functional limitations, postural stability, muscular endurance, and proprioception. This study aimed to investigate the effect of jaw and neck pain on craniocervico- mandibular functions and postural stability in patients with temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJDs).
Methods: Fifty-two patients with TMJDs were included and assessed using Fonseca's Questionnaire and the Helkimo Clinical Dysfunction Index.
Background: Cranio-cervico-mandibular (CCM) malalignment is associated with forward head posture (FHP) and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders and affects masticatory muscles.
Objective: This randomized, double-blind controlled trial aimed to compare the efficacy of scapula-thoracic (ST) exercises on temporomandibular and cervical joint position sense and postural stability in individuals with CCM malalignment.
Methods: Fourty-nine participants with CCM malalignment were randomly assigned to the ST exercise group (STEG, n= 24) or the control group (CG, n= 25).
Background: In European Union countries, any disease affecting less than 5 people in 10,000 is considered rare. As expertise is scarce and rare diseases (RD) are complex, RD patients can remain undiagnosed for many years. The period of searching for a diagnosis, called diagnostic delay, sometimes leads to a diagnostic dead end when the patient's disease is impossible to diagnose after undergoing all available investigations.

This study aims to examine the relationship between physical activity levels and balance parameters, muscle strength, and fear of falling in patients with HT. 78 subjects with HT participated in this study.

Background: To investigate the effect blood flow restriction (BFR) exercises on muscle size, strength and athletic performance in elite canoe athletes aged 18 to 25 years.
Methods: This was a randomized controlled trial. The participants were divided into 2 groups: the intervention group (INT-gr) (n = 17, age: 18.
Background: Estimates of rare disease (RD) population impact in terms of number of affected patients and accurate disease definition is hampered by their under-representation in current coding systems. This study tested the use of a specific RD codification system (ORPHAcodes) in five European countries/regions (Czech Republic, Malta, Romania, Spain, Veneto region-Italy) across different data sources over the period January 2019-September 2021.
Results: Overall, 3133 ORPHAcodes were used to describe RD diagnoses, mainly corresponding to the disease/subtype of disease aggregation level of the Orphanet classification (82.
The main objective of this pilot study was to evaluate the effects of functional exercise training (FET) and home exercise training (HET) on body composition, cardiometabolic risk factors, muscle strength, and functional capacity in individuals with bariatric surgery. The sample of the study included 30 individuals who underwent bariatric surgery. The FET group had functional exercise training consisting of stretching, aerobic, strengthening, and balance exercises assigned by a physiotherapist (n = 15), and the HET group had the same exercises under supervision (n = 15).

This database collects a minimum data set including diagnosis coded using the Orphanet nomenclature. Overall, 753,660 patients were recorded from 2007 to March 2022 including 493,740 with at least one rare disease diagnosis.

Effective rainfall (P) is a critical indicator for characterizing soil moisture (green water, WF) and calculating irrigation requirements (blue water, WF). However, majority of the water footprint analyses employ empirical or numerical models to predict P, and the number of studies for experimental validation of these models are quite insufficient.

Background: Sigmoid volvulus is a pathology that can be mortal because it is frequently encountered in elderly patients. In case of bowel gangrene, mortality and morbidity increase further. We planned a retrospective study, in which the effectiveness of the model was evaluated by creating a model that aims to predict whether intestinal gangrene is present in patients with sigmoid volvulus only by blood tests and thus to quickly guide treatment methods.

Background: A few studies have investigated the relationship between foot posture measures and plantar pressure parameters, but no study has investigated the correlation of foot posture measures with all primary parameters consisting of contact area (CA), maximum force (MF), and peak pressure (PP). We aimed to determine the relationship of the Foot Posture Index-6 (FPI-6) and navicular drop (ND) with plantar pressure parameters during static standing and preferred walking.
Methods: Seventy people were included.
To assess the effects of clinical Pilates exercises (CPE) on the level of pain, functional status, flexibility, static and dynamic endurance of the trunk muscles and quality of life (QoL) in patients with lumbar disc herniation. Individuals were divided into two groups: the CPE (6 weeks, three-times a week) group (n = 27) and the control group (n = 27). The clinical outcome measures were the visual analog scale for the evaluation of the pain intensity, Oswestry disability index for functional disability, short form-36 for health related QoL, sit and reach and hand finger floor distance test for the flexibility, side-bridge and sit-ups test for the static and dynamic endurance.

Therefore, new and fast techniques should be developed for the reclamation of these soils. This study was undertaken to evaluate if harvesting excessive salts via the soil with ammonium hexacyanoferrate (II) (AH) and ammonium perchlorate (AP) [0, 10, 20 and 40 mmol kg] is possible through dendritic crystal growth above the soil surface.
