32 newborn infant's umbilical cord blood CK-BB activity was tested at birth. 14 of them had a superior to 7 Apgar score at first and fifth minutes, whereas 18 newborn infant Apgar score was inferior to 7. The CK-BB activity was significantly higher in newborn infants having a low Apgar score at birth.
