[A case of large arachnoid cyst of the vertebral canal].

A case of initial diagnosis postinflammatory polyneuropathy with paraparesis inferior with sudden insufficiency of bladder sphincter during disease. The cause of disease was arachnoid cyst of vertebral canal.

[A case of incomplete cortical blindness].

A patient is reported with cortical blindness after craniocerebral injury in whom certain traces of visuals function were disclosed during treatment of Neurological Rehabilitation Hospital. The analysis of the observations is presented.

[Epidemiology of progressive muscular dystrophy in selected regions of Poland].

On the basis of the cases registered in the Outpatient Clinic for Muscular Diseases, Medical Academy in Warsaw including patients with progressive muscular dystrophy, and after an analysis of follow-up data the epidemiological indices and mutation indices were estimated in the population of Warsaw, Province of Warsaw and Province of Radom for the years 1960-1976. The calculated indices of incidence and prevalence of dystrophy and mutation were at the upper range of values reported in world literature. They were, however higher than those estimated in previous years in the same regions by Prot.

[Further studies of the state of knowledge and attitudes of the rural population toward epilepsy].

Inquiry investigations were carried out covering 657 individuals from two counties: Plock and Nowy Targ. The inquiry contained 21 questions concerning the knowledge of epilepsy and the attitudes of those questioned to epileptics. The responses were correlated with the sex, age, educational level and occupation of the questioned.
