As the urgency to address climate change intensifies, the exploration of sustainable negative emission technologies becomes imperative. Enhanced weathering (EW) represents an approach by leveraging the natural process of rock weathering to sequester atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO) in agricultural lands. This review synthesizes current research on EW, focusing on its mechanisms, influencing factors, and pathways for successful integration into agricultural practices.

Oxide-based systems often suffer from higher overpotentials compared to transition metal sulfides and phosphides for the electrochemical hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Interestingly, the generation of oxygen vacancy/defect has been seen as the strategy for further activating transition metal oxides (NiCo O as a model system) for an electrochemical water-splitting process. Herein, we employ the temperature ramp strategy (ambient air calcination) for the generation of oxygen vacancies in NiCo O (NCO) towards the tuning of electrocatalytic enhancements.

Background: Breast cancer is the most common malignancy worldwide. Surgical treatment of axilla is a part of treatment of locally advanced breast cancer. Conventional knot tying plus electrocautery and advanced compressive energy sources are used to reduce the continued axillary serous fluid discharge when drains are in place and seroma formation afterwards.
