Intrauterine fetal supraventricular tachycardia (FSVT) is a rare condition which is connected with organic heart disease in 4-10 per cent. Intrauterine pharmacologic cardioversion with digoxin and verapamil has been recommended previously. However, during pregnancy standard doses of digoxin result in suboptimal concentrations in the maternal serum and fetal therapeutic concentrations might demand doses inconvenient to the mother.

After a combined bronchodilatory treatment of theophylline and terbutaline an intermittant fetal bigeminus is observed. The cardiotoxic changes disappear after days when treatment is stopped. After delivery the child is healthy.

An operation was performed on a patient, 36 years of age, for a large tumour in the lower abdominal region. On laparotomy, the surgical team was surprised at discovering a retroperitoneal tumour, 1100 g in weight, which was histologically identified as a malignant fibrous histiocytoma.

In the Womens Hospital Peine from July 1, 1976 to December 31, 1979 503 artificial abortions were carried out by intracervical application of 3 mg PGF2-Alpha-Gel. In 82.5% of the cases patients had a spontaneous abortion or a cervical dilatation.
