Trends in the cytogenetic and immunologic status of healthy persons; Kazakhstan, 2007-2022.

Environmental pollution can affect immune health and genome stability. We have studied the immunological and cytogenetic status of healthy urban (Almaty City, which has high levels of air pollution) and rural residents of southern Kazakhstan, over the past 15 years. Differences between the groups in plasma immunoglobulin levels and chromosomal aberration frequencies were noted.

The effect of camel milk curd masses on rats blood serum biochemical parameters: Preliminary study.

This study aimed to assess potential feeding effect of camel milk curd mass and its mixes to experimental rat's blood serum biochemical parameters, enzymatic activity and the peptide toxicity. Fifty healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into five groups (n = 10 each). Each group was fed with camel milk pure curd mass and its mixes for 16 days.

Comprehensive assessment of unutilized and obsolete pesticides impact on genetic status and health of population of Almaty region.

The group of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) are particularly dangerous for the environment and by consequence for human health because of the risk to be transmitted in the food chain. Among them, the urgent problem of obsolete and forbidden organochlorinated pesticides (OCPs) needs a rigorous management in many countries, including Kazakhstan. The aim of our study was to evaluate the effect of pesticides content in food products on the genetic status and health of the population living on the contaminated areas near destroyed warehouses for OCPs (4 villages of Talgar district and 1 control site, Almaty region).
