Background: At Akershus University Hospital a new multidisciplinary team was set up to serve neurologically impaired children. We investigated how many children with cerebral palsy were referred to the team and whether referral resulted in an associated diagnosis.
Material And Methods: All children with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy referred up until the end of the team's first year of full service were included.
Kawasaki syndrome was first described in 1967. The diagnosis is based on clinical criteria including fever for more than five days, conjunctivitis, lymph node enlargement and changes in the oral mucosa as well as in the palms and soles. Coronary complications including aneurysmal dilatation have been reported in 20-25% of untreated patients.
