Micro mechanism consideration is critical for gaining a thorough understanding of amorphous shear band behavior in magnetorheological (MR) solids, particularly those with viscoelastic matrices. Heretofore, the characteristics of shear bands in terms of formation, physical evolution, and response to stress distribution at the localized region have gone largely unnoticed and unexplored. Notwithstanding these limitations, atomic force microscopy (AFM) has been used to explore the nature of shear band deformation in MR materials during stress relaxation.

Botryoid Odontogenic cyst (BOC) originally described by Weathers and Waldron (1973) is a variant of a lateral periodontal cyst characterized by macroscopic and microscopic multilocular growth pattern. We report a case of BOC in a 21-year-old male patient. Orthopantamogram revealed a multilocular radiolucency extending from 43 to 47.

Article Synopsis
  • * Light microscopy showed an infiltration of lymphocytes and plasma cells in various pituitary areas, with fibrosis noted in all cases, while the anterior lobe largely remained normal.
  • * Electron microscopy revealed damage to pituitary cells and the presence of enlarged lysosomal bodies, emphasizing the need for correct diagnosis to ensure appropriate treatment, as this condition may mimic a tumor in preoperative assessments.
