Introduction: To correlate the direct and indirect morphological uterus sonographic assessment (MUSA) features of adenomyosis with clinical symptoms severity.

Material And Methods: This observational prospective study was conducted at a tertiary care institute from April 2023 to March 2024, involving 254 women aged 18 to 45 years with a regular menstrual cycle and ultrasound-confirmed diagnosis of adenomyosis. Detailed clinicodemographic data were collected, including symptoms such as painful menses, heavy menstrual bleeding (HMB), chronic pelvic pain (CPP), and bowel/bladder symptoms.

We describe a patient with sickle cell disease (SCD) and elevated antiphospholipid antibodies (aPL) who developed multi-organ failure resembling catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome. Autoimmune screening revealed several autoantibodies characteristic of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Notably, routinely housed and unmanipulated transgenic sickle mice displayed significantly elevated titres of aPL- and SLE-associated autoantibodies.

Background: In the phase 3 randomized controlled study, ATTRibute-CM, acoramidis, a transthyretin (TTR) stabilizer, demonstrated significant efficacy on the primary endpoint. Participants with transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM) who completed ATTRibute-CM were invited to enroll in an open-label extension study (OLE). We report efficacy and safety data of acoramidis in participants who completed ATTRibute-CM and enrolled in the ongoing OLE.

This review is focused on the current status of quantitative MRI (qMRI) of skeletal muscle. The first section covers the techniques of qMRI in muscle with the focus on each quantitative parameter, the corresponding imaging sequence, discussion of the relation of the measured parameter to underlying physiology/pathophysiology, the image processing and analysis approaches, and studies on normal subjects. We cover the more established parametric mapping from T1-weighted imaging for morphometrics including image segmentation, proton density fat fraction, T2 mapping, and diffusion tensor imaging to emerging qMRI features such as magnetization transfer including ultralow TE imaging for macromolecular fraction, and strain mapping.
