The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic has a severe impact on societies, economies and labour markets. However, not all countries, socio-economic groups and sectors are equally affected. Initially, levodopa provides a stable therapeutic response but, during long-term treatment its beneficial effect declines and a gradually increasing number of patients experience fluctuations in motor response.
