Care burden, perceived social support, coping attitudes and life satisfaction of mothers with children with cerebral palsy.

Aim: This study's aim is to determine the relationship between care burden, perceived social support, coping attitudes and life satisfaction of mothers with children with cerebral palsy (CP).

Methods: This descriptive study was conducted in Turkey between March and June 2022 to determine the relationship between caregiving burden, perceived social support, coping attitudes and life satisfaction of 122 mothers with CP children. Path analysis was used to evaluate the data.

Fabrication of gelatin-polyester based biocomposite scaffold via one-step functionalization of melt electrowritten polymer blends in aqueous phase.

The rapid manufacturing of biocomposite scaffold made of saturated-Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) and unsaturated Polyester (PE) blends with gelatin and modified gelatin (NCO-Gel) is demonstrated. Polyester blend-based scaffold are fabricated with and without applying potential in the melt electrowriting system. Notably, the applied potential induces phase separation between PCL and PE and drives the formation of PE rich spots at the interface of electrowritten fibers.

Cancer incidence in Familial Mediterranean Fever: A retrospective analysis.

Objectives: Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is the most common hereditary monogenic fever syndrome that is characterized by recurrent attacks of fever and polyserositis. Anti-inflammatory drugs, with colchicine being the first-line therapy, have been used in the management of FMF. This study aims to evaluate the risk of cancer in Turkish FMF patients.

Thickness Gradient in Polymer Coating by Reactive Layer-by-Layer Assembly on Solid Substrate.

The study describes a simple yet robust methodology for forming gradients in polymer coatings with nanometer-thickness precision. The thickness gradients of 0-20 nm in the coating are obtained by a reactive layer-by-layer assembly of polyester and polyethylenimine on gold substrates. Three parameters are important in forming thickness gradients: (i) the incubation time, (ii) the incubation concentration of the polymer solutions, and (iii) the tilt angle of the gold substrate during the dipping process.
