Glioblastoma (GBM), WHO grade IV, is the most common primary malignant brain tumour among adults with a devastating overall survival of 14-22 months. Standard treatment of GBM includes maximum safe resection, radiotherapy plus concomitant and adjuvant temozolomide (TMZ), given over a period of approximately 9 months. Treatment and follow-up for Greenlandic patients with GBM are managed at Rigshospitalet (RH), Copenhagen.

It has been in productive use for more than 10 years and is one of the important standard software applications running for a large user community at all Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research sites globally. A high degree of automation is reached by embedding the data analysis capabilities into a software ecosystem that deals with the management of samples, plates, and result data files, including automated data loading.

In this study, the effect of the collagen types I and III on adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation was studied, using primary osteoblastic cells from rat calvariae. In the present study, proliferation, differentiation, and mineralization of osteoblasts on type I collagen-coated Ti6Al4V were investigated. The activity of alkaline phosphatase and the accumulation of calcium by osteoblasts grown on titanium alloy were significantly higher compared to cells grown on polystyrene.
