Purpose: Four children with an osteomyelitic process in the jaw bones while on cytotoxic chemotherapy were treated by radical surgery and antimicrobial chemotherapy.
Patients And Methods: Symptoms (local swelling and pain in the jaw, necrotic gingivitis, and spontaneous loss of teeth) appeared 3 weeks, 4 weeks, and 8 months after diagnosis of leukemia, and 8 days posttransplant in a patient with severe aplastic anemia. Three had the process in the mandible and one in the maxilla.

In the years between 1981 and 1986 32 patients with a subcutaneous rupture of the Achilles tendon were operated on. Two different surgical techniques were preferred: using the tendon of the m. plantaris as suture according to Streli, and Bunnell's suture.

The measurement of the distal motor latency was useful as well in the diagnosis as in the course of the CTS. After operation the distal motor latency was normal in about 70.

More than 61% of the patients were treated in the stage II and III according to the classification of Iselin and Dieckmann. In these stages the total fasciectomy is the operation of choice.
