Methods: This 12-week, active-treatment (oral brexpiprazole 2 or 3 mg/day) extension trial ran from October 2018-September 2022 at 66 sites in Europe/US.

An Equivalent Structural Stress-Based Frequency-Domain Fatigue Assessment Approach for Welded Structures under Random Loading.

Welded structures under random loadings are usually susceptible to fatigue-induced failures that lead to significant economic and safety effects. However, accurately predicting these structures' fatigue damage and life in the frequency domain remains challenging due to the limitations associated with using traditional weld stress extrapolation methods, such as nominal, hotspot, and notch stress methods. These methods struggle with precisely defining and characterizing the stresses at the weld toe and root as they vary depending on factors like weld stress concentration effects, joint geometry, and loading modes.

Intersectionality in nursing research: A scoping review.

Background: An intersectional approach to health research provides an analytical foundation to explain the multidimensionality of health status, resource accessibility, privilege, oppression, and current and historical context. The use of intersectionality in health research has known limitations. Its use in health-related fields too often focuses on outcomes, such as health disparities, rather than processes, such as power structures and social determinants.

Effectiveness of educational interventions on hypertensive patients' self-management behaviours: an umbrella review protocol.

Background: Although different educational interventions have been widely used to manage and treat hypertension, alone or in combination with other interventions, there is a significant variation in their claimed effectiveness.

Review Question/objective: The objective of this umbrella review is to determine the effectiveness of educational interventions, alone or in combination with other interventions, for improving blood pressure control and self-management practices among hypertensive patients. The review question is: Do educational interventions, alone or in combination with other interventions, improve self-management practices among patients with hypertension?

Methods: We will conduct a review of systematic reviews involving studies that implemented educational interventions, alone or in combination with other interventions, designed to change self-care practices among hypertensive patients who are 18 years and above, regardless of their sex and ethnicity.

Pediatric Groin Surgeries: A Comparison of Analgesic Effects of Caudal Block and Inguinal Field Block Using Plain Bupivacaine.

Introduction: There is a paucity of studies in the West African sub-region which have compared both the intraoperative and postoperative analgesic effects of caudal block and inguinal field block using plain bupivacaine in groin surgeries in children. The study aimed to compare the duration of analgesia and complications of caudal block and inguinal field block in pediatric groin surgeries.

Patients And Methods: This was a prospective, double-blind randomized study conducted at a tertiary health institution in North Central, Nigeria, over a period of 6 months.
