Article Synopsis
  • The study explores the Impostor Phenomenon (IP) among advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) faculty, where individuals often doubt their accomplishments despite evident success.
  • It involved 478 APRN faculty from across the U.S. and found that many exhibited moderate to frequent levels of IP, which correlated with lower job satisfaction and higher burnout.
  • The results suggest that factors like age, teaching experience, and faculty rank may influence IP, highlighting the need for strategies to enhance retention and job satisfaction in nursing education.

Introduction: Identification of breast cancer patients at risk for postoperative distant relapse is an important clinical issue. Existing pathological markers can predict disease recurrence only to a certain extent, and there is a need for more accurate predictors.

Methods: Using 'counting alleles', a novel experimental method, we determined allelic status of chromosomes 8p and 18q in a case-control study with 65 early stage, node negative, invasive ductal carcinomas (IDCs).

Background: Identification of prostate cancer patients at risk for postoperative disease recurrence is an important clinical issue. Existing pathological markers can predict disease recurrence only to a certain extent, and there is a need for more accurate predictors.

Methods: Using "counting alleles," a novel experimental method, we determined allelic status of chromosome 8p in 107 prostatectomy specimens.

This research used structural equation modeling to examine relations among family dynamics, attorney involvement, and the adjustment of young children (0-6 years) at the time of parental separation. The article presents baseline data (N = 102 nonresidential fathers and N = 110 primary caretaking mothers) from a larger longitudinal study. Results showed that the effects of parental conflict on child outcomes were mediated by paternal involvement, the parent-child relationship, and attorney involvement.

Previous studies have shown a significant effect of insulin administration on serum dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEA-S) concentration and its metabolic rate, with evidence for the effect in men, but not in women. This could lead to differences in the sources of variation in serum DHEA-S between men and women and in its covariation with insulin concentration. This study aimed to test whether these hypotheses were supported in a sample of healthy adult twins.
