HELICOBACTER PYLORI AND GALLBLADDER PATHOLOGIES: IS THERE A CAUSE-AND-EFFECT RELATIONSHIP?

Unlabelled: The relationship between Helicobacter pylori infection and gallbladder diseases, particularly cholecystitis and gallbladder polyps, remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the presence of H. pylori in gallbladder tissues and its potential role in gallbladder pathologies, as well as to examine the expression of chemokines CXCL2 and CXCL5 in these conditions.

MORPHOLOGICAL CHANGES OF THE HEPATIC PORTAL TRACTS IN EXPERIMENTALLY INDUCED CHOLESTASIS.

The dynamics of morphological changes developed in liver and bile ducts in biliary obstruction are well studied in the animal models of biliary obstruction, however,the data on the morphology of the portal tracts are scarce. The aim of the research was to study the structure of the portal tracts and interrelationship of their structural components in experimental biliary obstruction. The investigation was conducted on albino Wistar rats weighing 200-250 g, undergone biliary obstruction by common bile duct ligation (CBDL).

BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF GREEN TEA EXTRACTS.

The purpose of our study was to determine effects of green tea extracts on the Jurkat cells incubated under oxidative stress conditions. The research was conducted on leukemic human mature T cells (Jurkat cells). For the modelling of oxidative stress 30% hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) (Sigma) (10 μl, 25 μl 50 μl and 100 μl) was added to Jurkat cell suspension with subsequent incubation for 4, 6, 8 and 24 h.

MORPHOLOGICAL CHANGES OF RAT PLACENTA IN DIFFERENT PERIODS OF PREGNANCY UNDER MODELED PREECLAMPSIA.

The purpose of the study was to determine the morphological changes of rat placenta in II, III week of pregnancy under modeled preeclampsia. Modeling of preeclampsia was performed in the rats, as follows: lumen of the abdominal aorta below the renal artery was narrowed by the silk tread on the third of its diameter (0.2 mm).

Green tea, red wine and lemon extracts reduce experimental tumor growth and cancer drug toxicity.

Aim: To evaluate antitumor effect of plant polyphenol extracts from green tea, red wine lees and/or lemon peel alone and in combination with antitumor drugs on the growth of different transplanted tumors in experimental animals.

Materials And Methods: Green tea extract (GTE) was prepared from green tea infusion. GTE-based composites of red wine (GTRW), lemon peel (GTRWL) and/or NanoGTE as well as corresponding nanocomposites were prepared.

The aim of the study was to establish a violation of hormonal (progesterone and estradiol) and immune balance (interleukins IL-2, IL-10, TNF-α) in the rats blood at different stages of experimental PE induced by hypoxia placenta. Use of bilidase for the treatment of experimental hypertrophic postburn cicatrices.

The efficiency of bilidase (hyaluronidase preparation) was studied in guinea pigs with experimental postburn cicatrices. Bilidase promoted normalization of the structure and histochemical picture of new cicatricial tissue. The drug can be used for the treatment of hypertrophic postburn cicatrices.

[Isolation and physico-chemical characteristics of Staphylococcus hyaluronidase].

A scheme for purification of hyaluronidase from Staphylococcus aureus 0-15 that allows to produce a 550-fold-purified preparation with a high specific activity was developed. Hyaluronidase was found to consist of two molecular forms with different molecular weights. Staphylococcus hyaluronidase referred to as a complex preparation and its molecular forms have action optimum at pH 5.
