The Xcounts algorithm for calculating air concentrations of radioactive xenon isotopes (Eslinger et al., 2023) has been extended to estimate Xe in addition to Xe, Xe, Xe, and Xe. The algorithm was applied to 119 samples collected with a SAUNA Q system (Ringbom et al.

Objectives: To conduct a meta-ethnography on the experiences and perceptions of children with chronic pain and their families of chronic pain, treatments and services.
Background: Chronic non-cancer pain in childhood is widespread, affecting 20% to 35% of children and young people worldwide. For a sizeable number of children, chronic non-cancer pain has considerable negative impacts on their lives and quality of life, and leads to increased use of healthcare services and medication. In many countries, there are few services for managing children's chronic non-cancer pain, with many services being inadequate.

Teaching practices can be improved through professional development programs; however, several barriers exist. Creating lasting change by overcoming these barriers is the primary objective of the STEM Faculty Institute (STEMFI).

Genital tucking can be achieved by either pushing the testicles into the inguinal canal and/or securing the scrotum and penis between the legs towards the buttocks. Genital tucking has a negative impact on spermatogenesis, and therefore can result in a suboptimal sample and impaired sperm parameters.

Micro-nutrients such as boron (B), copper (Cu), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), and zinc (Zn) are essential for plant and human health. Deficiencies of these micro-nutrients in soil lead to poor crop production and poor seed quality.

Therefore, understanding the physiological and genetic traits influencing the nutrient content is critical. To our knowledge, there is no information available on the effects of leaf shape-curly leaf (CRL)-on cottonseed protein, oil, and minerals.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFA series of highly efficient adsorbents were developed using Ni(BTC) and Co(BTC) metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and FeO magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) to functionalize graphene oxide (GO). XRD results show high crystallinity of the prepared nanomaterials and the successful decoration of Ni(BTC) and Co(BTC) MOFs over the GO substrate (BTC = benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid). SEM and TEM imaging show the successful formation of nanoscale MOFs and FeO MNPs over GO.

Both phenotypes were cultivated for 70 days in natural soil amended with nano CuO (nCuO), bulk CuO (bCuO), and Cu chloride (CuCl) at 75, 150, 300, and 600 mg Cu/kg soil. Essential elements in tissues, agronomical parameters, chlorophyll content, and Cu distribution in leaf were determined.

In this study, a novel method for the development of photocatalytic paint based on TiO nanoparticles and acrylate-based photopolymer resin is reported. The paint (TiO@polymer) was applied on substrates such as plastic petri dish and glass jar, which was polymerized/solidified by ultraviolet light irradiation.

Yet to date no systematic review has been conducted to identify and synthesize these studies. In this systematic review, we assess the effectiveness of interventions in reducing ambient particulate matter air pollution and improving adverse health outcomes.

Development of effective approaches to safely reduce this number remains a complex but critical issue. Despite a proliferation in interventions, evidence summaries are limited.

To date, no systematic review has assessed the effectiveness of interventions aiming to reduce ambient air pollution.
Objectives: To assess the effectiveness of interventions to reduce ambient particulate matter air pollution in reducing pollutant concentrations and improving associated health outcomes.
A series of novel absorbents based on Cu-BDC MOFs decorated over graphene oxide (GrO) and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) hybrid nanocomposites, namely Cu-BDC@GrO and Cu-BDC@CNT, are synthesized via a facile and one-pot green solvothermal method for water remediation. The nanocomposites were characterized by XRD, TEM, SEM, EDS, Raman, FTIR, TGA, XPS, Zetasizer and ICP-OES instruments. XRD results confirmed the high crystalline structure of the synthesized hybrid nanocomposites.

Some studies cite a higher stroke risk in the setting of CCO, whereas other studies document no difference in stroke risk. We investigated the risk of stroke after intervention in the setting of CCO in a large, national, validated dataset.

Meta-ethnography is a seven-phase methodology for synthesising qualitative studies. Developed in 1988 by sociologists in education Noblit and Hare, meta-ethnography has evolved since its inception; it is now widely used in healthcare research and is gaining popularity in education research.

Aims: The aim of this study was to provide guidance to improve the completeness and clarity of meta-ethnography reporting.
Background: Evidence-based policy and practice require robust evidence syntheses which can further understanding of people's experiences and associated social processes. Meta-ethnography is a rigorous seven-phase qualitative evidence synthesis methodology, developed by Noblit and Hare.

Celiac artery stenosis and occlusion have been described rarely in patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD), although it occurs relatively frequently in this group. An arterial connection between the celiac and superior mesenteric arteries, known as the Arc of Buhler, provides alternative flow to the celiac distribution once the gastroduodenal artery (GDA) is ligated in PD. A 69-year-old man, in whom pre- and intraoperative efforts to stent an occluded celiac artery failed, had sufficient retrograde flow from an unrecognized Arc of Buhler to maintain adequate hepatic arterial perfusion after ligation of the GDA during a PD.
