The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and predominantly manifests with respiratory symptoms. However, it may have a wide range of complications, including hematological complications. Several studies demonstrated that patients with COVID-19 exhibit a wide range of complex abnormalities of the coagulation system.
